It's useful in this case since so many "nutrition guides" say it's good to have all these unsaturated and poly/mono unsaturated fats.
When in science we know those other forms don't bind in your system as efficiently and ruin the whole chain of nutrients you get. There are charts about it, someone might post it here. But basically saturated fats bind in neat orderly chains that are easier to process but the rest have kinks and bends that fuck that all up.
Yet with all the other forms so prevalent in food everywhere, people forgot to keep it simple, stupid.

Caffeine also does all kinda of shit to your insides. It's acidic, as is coffee even in decaf form, but caffeine causes your blood vessels to constrict, which causes issues like hemmorhoids and anal fissues in a lot of people. If you suffer from that shit, try weaning off to half-caf and then decaf over a few weeks and then just go live a month decaf. I still drink coffee all the time, just decaf, I don't even miss it anymore.

The tricky part is the body requires mg by weight, but you don't get 100% of what you eat in your diet. The DRI is actually half as much as you need, presumably because they calculate the atomic weight at rest and don't factor in what you need to actually eat.

If you don't get the full amount of cholesterol you use in a day, the liver replaces your requirements, but the liver itself has a limited pool of cholesterol. Which it synthesizes from carbohydrates. That is another factor in carb cravings, and why even nondiabetic people fail their diets.

There is a subset of the population with genetic mutations that cause them to not handle saturated fat properly. For everyone else it makes sense to consume saturated fat. Logically saturated fat consumption shouldn't be an issue though since it is the preferred method our bodies store energy for later consumption, thus our bodies are specifically evolved in a way to make use of it.

Personally I try to avoid all seed oils high in omega-6 and generally don't avoid saturated fats naturally in meat or the butter I use to flavor my vegetables. For actual cooking I prefer using monounsaturated fats (omega-9) olive/avocado oils rather then adding even more saturated fats. You only need a diet low on carbs, and those few carbs you eat make it whole grains and/or fiber.

That's it, everything else you eat it's up to you, but if you like protein eat from BOTH sources, animal and plant.
