Later it became more explicitly an act of aggression, intended to cut power to Kaliningrad and causing energy shortages etc there.
Russia reacted and started expanding energy production, building more powerplants and transformer stations.
In 2025 the EU finally cut the power connectors to Russia... without having expanded energy production or invested in infrastructure to handle it.
Over night energy prices double in the Baltics while Kaliningrad see lower energy prices since they now export a little less.
This is the level of retardation we are talking about.
Ofc they would take over a Chinese chip company without considering the fact that all chip manufacturing was done in China and the offices they took over were just office workers doing marketing and maybe some R&D.
