It’s the 4th year of the war — not the first time energy infrastructure’s been bombed across the country and then repaired, so majority of the year there is no electricity deficit at all. Now it's time yet again for russkies trying to make Winter mildly unpleasant for us, and another year where it will fail. There are generators, smaller plants, and all sorts of decentralized systems providing power off the main grid, so most businesses and services already function without needing the central supply. Hell, plenty of homes have backup power too.
When major stuff gets hit, there aren’t 18-hour blackouts in big cities — that is just potential downtime across the day, in the fist stage of repairs, then it gets smaller until shit fixed completely. Usually, it’s just a few hours before power comes back, like today. Right now, there’s light of course.
Tomorrow I’m heading to the cinema to watch the new CSM movie in IMAX. Imagine throwing bajillions of missiles and drones for four years straight and still not being able to stop fucking malls from running without issues.
