While it might be an unfair comparison for the rest of Christianity, if you swap out "ISRAEL" with "CHURCH" the comparison holds.
Christians are spiritual zionists for the Church against all the nations. The only nation they belong to is the Church, and their view of the Church holds all nations in contempt like the evangelicals.

Yes, taken to the extreme, Christianity means making every citizen of every country view himself as a member of a New Israel, it means abandoning their own unique heritage and culture to be grafted unto the tree of the Old Testament Jews, it means viewing their native lands as Egypts or Babylonian Captivities pulling Christians out of the Church and into slavery.
In short, being a Christian makes you in relation to everyone else like a Jewish slave in Egypt spiritually.

Christianity perpetually views society as The Other -- it makes Christians no different than Jews looking out at society in hatred from the shadow of their synagogues, because Christians in early Christianity were persecuted and hid under rocks and viewed the rest of society with that same zionist attitude:

TLDR
