Because gdp is a bullshit metric and the only reason Ireland had big number is because they have extremely low corporate tax rates so companies set up a division in Ireland that sells at massive profits to the other division of the same fucking company in Italy who then sell the product to consumers for almost no profit so they don't have to pay taxes.
