the people aren't ready for this opinion yet. lefties and righties just want to be in power and censor their opponents instead of actually having a stance on whether your political opinions should threaten your livelihood / job yet. personally i don't think corporations should be doing that, they have far too much power and so it's similar to, yet perhaps less in effect than, the government going after you for your opinions. we exist in a capitalist system, however, and we have a free market, so workers together in a union should apply pressure to corporations for them not to do this shit, because collective worker action is more effective than unorganized action.
i felt this way about that guy on jubilee who nazi'd out in front of medhi hasan, i also feel this way about people who joke about kirk. but somehow nobody sees that if they do it their opponents will too.
