>they're completely fucked and their situation is not uncommon
Another big one is when boomers die, if the family cant pony up 20-40k that week, the house and property goes for sale to cover muh tax bills and other assorted shit.
Alot of people are losing family estates because boomers refuse to hand them over, and want everything to be something they can hold over you until their dead, and revoke at any time, leading to alot of young folks being fucked out of homeownership and then getting a 20k cash payment, instead of a 150-300k asset they can walk into the bank and use for more money/financing improvements in life.
I hate to say it, but if you arent a home owner, you are a non-person in Canada, i recognize this, once i have a home i can use it as collateral to buy a tower crane, then it gets to going from 100k/y to making half a million effortlessly with significantly less stress.
>But you wont ever be able to work hard to make it to homeownership.
If you didnt get grandfathered into the /goodlife/ or arent claiming tax credits for your wife and her friends serving you beers, and getting a 17g tax credit for polishing the truck at the station once a month and showing up for ""Training"" (Beers with the boys!) you are also at a huge disadvantage.
Having a criminal record is also a softlock for never making over 25/hr, by the way.
and being excluded from alot of white hat/upper management, plus the prohibition on being in a liquor serving establishment, lol @ ever being taken seriously or looked at as anything but an hourly worker they can pay you less because you have no (Power) or (Options).
Working for .gov pays 3x and most of your living expenses are COMPED, or subsidized, take the taxpayer teet pill.
