You know I have a hard time blaming boomers for their ignorance. At that period of time your only chance of meeting a straight from India Indian or other ethnic minority was if you traveled to their home country or if they were some genius who was allowed to immigrate. Life was meant more for exterior living rather than staying home and consuming digital slop. Your local diner was filled with locals, and likely got its beef from the local farmer, etc. Places would have a local reputation. You would have a local reputation. You could live your entire life in one small town without ever having to deal with someone from away unless they were passing through or you were on vacation. The world still had an element of mystery to it. You weren’t 24/7 reachable. It must have been nice.
