Elections cost money to run, which means you have to have the money yourself which means you have to be rich, or it means somebody has to be willing to put up the money for you, which they will if you’re their private lawyer or an astroturfed activist.

This is as good a thread to ask as any. Do you think a non-woke white man can even win a nomination in the Democratic Party today? I really don’t. I can’t see anyone who doesn’t affirm LGBT and DEI shit even getting to run as a Democrat anymore.

I swear American politicians are the worst kind ever
Is it really a democracy when every single politician, Democrat or Republican, are all sellouts to Israel??

They've become an increasingly isolated, consumerist country, so while there's an appetite for grassroots movements, they get co-opted by the existing political structure. Most Americans want to cope that there is a political solution to their problems, but it's better to accept there isn't and do nothing than cope the way they do. Truly the most useless people in the world for the simple fact that they have the most social capital to enact change, but don't.

So there's this situation where a lot of leaders of ''right-wing'' parties in Europe and elsewhere aren't nearly as right-wing as you'd expect and in fact are on a personal basis the kind of person you'd least expect to lead a ''far-right'' party - Jews, Women, gays and lesbians, ethnic minorities - and at the same time a lot of leaders / important people of left-wing parties are pasty white dudes ; how can this be? My intuition is that there's a lot accumulated energy trying to keep the system stable and centrist and this manifest by trying to pull the ''extremes'' towards the consensus - so the system favors leaders that don't really represent the ideas and aesthetics of the people voting for them as a way to cope for not being able to actually defeat the ''extremes''. This won't last forever and eventually normdroids candidates will be pushed aside for radicals and because the US is ahead of other countries in this dynamic (Trump's double victory, Kamala's candidacy) it's more likely there than elsewhere that the next Dem candidate will be an actual ''true believer'' leftist. Kamala was close to being that, but was otherwise a total trash candidate with 0 charisma and basically won her spot due to a inner party coup and tried to soften the blow by having the world's first male-to-male tranny as her VP (it didn't work). With the dems party having a civil war between its normie libtards and ''true believers'' wings it's hard to tell if a white male will have a shot or not (maybe with a black female co-runner or something).
