Just to ass some info to why does KMT say things like that - in Taiwan the other party that's now in power has this weird programme of pretending to be autochthonous Taiwanese even though they, as well as most of the island are expats from continental China both from a big wave after the civil war and from the previous centuries. KMT meanwhile sticks to insisting they are the one real China, PRC is temporarily occupied rebel territory. These narratives are both delusional, but the stated policies of KMT would result in carbon copy of modern day China if they got to power, just with greater emphasis on Sun Yat Sen rather than Mao. The weird private corpos but with party officials supervisor economic structure was their thing all along and that's what the communist china has evolved into.
