Trucking was fun in the 70s-90s when there were barely any rules. Now you're every move is monitored. You may as well work in a wage cage somewhere else.

On the one hand, this seems like a glownigger initiative to collect ideas for jobs to advertise to neets or force them into or whatever the fuck.
On the other, I don't like to shit on somebody who is making a genuine effort toward something they see as an improvement in life.
As for trucking, it depends on how autistic you are and if you can afford a truck. A lot of truckers live in dorms if they can't afford their own truck since they're bonded to a company. Lots of those dorms are now nearly 100% crowded with the stinkiest jeets you could imagine. If you don't care about cleanliness or where you sleep, that kind of NEET, trucking could work out.
A job in small time manufacturing could also work. Right out of high school I worked at this small company that made custom stickers. I just wound the premade stickers onto rolls and packed them into boxes. Listened to audiobooks everyday all day and basically nobody ever talked to me.

Literally none of this is true.
90% of truckers sleep/live in their truck. Space is 4'x7'x9' not counting driving area. Tons of space for a NEET.
And companies give you a truck, owner operator/leasing is for fags.

Whatever company hires you stay there at least 12 months straight. After that you can start making choices on whatever direction you want. If you don't get that first 12 months in with one it makes it harder. So prepare 12 months solid one company.

I have one of the best gigs in the industry (requires a few years of experience and a perfect record to qualify) so I’m only out for 5 days at a time and home for two. However every other weekend is a 3 day weekend. Starting out, you get 24 days of pto and it goes up every year from there. We also get quarterly safety bonuses worth around $1000.
I started in the ltl industry which is hourly and home every night but I make way more now.
Cc is the best way to get the cdl as you won’t be beholden to a company if they pay for you to get the cdl

If you want a job with lots of travel but you don't want the risk of piloting 20,000lbs of steel down a road at 80mph then look up Field Service. Basically every engineering conpany needs field servi e techs to go out and repair machinery that they've sold to customers. It's not too difficult to get a job because most people are unwilling to live that road warrior lifestyle. Windmill technician is a good one.

You can out of school do dedicated runs and be home every 2 weeks or so and you do the same routes like New Orleans for coffee beans that go to the Folgers plant in Kansas City, pick up a load to go to Lodi Oh and down to Cinci to head to Massachusetts to the soap plant. Giant circle but it's pretty comfy way to get experience. You can go with a less than truckload ltl company in their driver training program where you shadow another driver for a few months and then you are on your way and you can do line haul and be home every day. OTR with a big company is good way to get feet wet and if you go dedicated fleet for Procter & Gamble with Schneider almost impossible to fuck it up.

I wouldn't jump right into it. Trucking takes a good bit of responsibility, and most companies expect you to be able to troubleshoot the fucking things. You CAN go to jail, if you fuck it up badly enough.
If you've never had a job before, try to do back end or stocking at a grocery store. These aren't terribly difficult jobs to get, they usually pay a little more than minimum, and they don't have a terrible amount of overhead.

Sometimes your local community college will have programs (this is generally the cheapest option)
Some companies have “dock to driver” programs where they will basically pay for the cdl however you will be under contract usually for a year. If you quit they can slap you with a bill for like $10k. I would avoid this option unless it’s your only choice

Mine got me a rental and drove 8 hours, but I worked with Yellow before they went bankrupt, so I got enough experience. I swear I heard someone say they flew for orientation, but whatever. Checkout KLLM, Knight, Us.express, Ozark, Crete websites and call a recruiter. Yes you will have to talk to someone anon. Just ask if they provide accomodations to get you there. Why do you want out of NEETing? This wage shit sucks and I'm thinking about moving in with my dad so I can focus on doing indie game development. If you like driving try being a chauffeur. I used to be one, it's pretty easy work except the hours can suck. All you need is a black suit, clean driving record, and be at least 25 for insurance purposes. Most of the time your passengers aren't interested in talking which is is nice. Some limo service companies have buses and will train you to get a CDL if you want. Anyways you'll do plenty of driving and sometimes you'll get put on what are called hourly trips. Basically you pick up your client, drop them off somewhere (restaurant, business meeting) and wait for them to be done then take them home/airport/hotel/elsewhere. While your client is off doing their thing you can sit back and relax. I used to draw and play games on my phone, the steam deck wasn't a thing then but I think I would have liked my job more if it was. If the client wasn't going to need me for a while sometimes I would even go home. Sometimes they even tip extra on top of what you make, the most I got was $240 and I spent most of that trip just sitting in my apartment. The best time I had was when Tom Petty came to town for his final tour and I got to drive for the band and hang out back stage and watch the show. It won't pay as much as CDL trucking but you'll be home every night unless they send you on a really far drive but you won't have to invest in truck driving school either.

>Trucking was fun in the 70s-90s when there were barely any rules.
Trucking was decent job in US until deregulation of the business in late 70's and early 80's. During Carter and Reagan admins. It took until 90's for industry to become shitfest it is today. Trucking companies are always hiring, because labor retention rate is dogshit and lots of people that enter the industry quit almost immediately.
>Now you're every move is monitored.
Oh, my god electronic logging is harder to cheat and roads aren't full of niggers that violate driving time limitations by using bogus identities to work beyond driving time limitations.

It will kill your love of driving. Operating a big rig requires absolute concentration all the time. In a car there is some margin of error where you can relax to some extent some of the time, in a truck there is none.
Driving a big rig is also comfy, not incredibly so but just enough that with the long hours and need for absolute concentration you will feel tired out at the end of the day. This leads to the fat trucker syndrome. You are too worn out to get proper exercise and eat proper food. Most truckers go the easy route and just pig out on truck stop slop ( which also cuts their earnings )
The long hours also means you will be generally too tired to invest into looking at emplyment in some other more rewarding venture. So guys start trucking when they are young, fit, and firm, think they will make bank and quit after a few years, but get stuck in the rut forever.

tt. Trucker who got out after just two years when I saw where it was heading.

Basically trucking was always kinda shitty job with long working hours and usually days or weeks at the time on the road, but in past it paid well enough for truckers to raise a family in rural places bit outside of bigger cities on one salary. Not so much any more and industry is full of illegals of spic and on recent years increasing jeet variety.

Also some things are fucking global, shipping is one of the first things to suffer when economy isn't doing fine.
