To answer your question, OP, I believe the Aryans were in there as a cultural force from at least 2000 BC to 1000 BC, I imagine that the translation of the Vedas from oral tradition to writing started in the 1500s, then rapidly increased as it became more and more obvious that the caste system was failing and they were becoming a negrofied mud race. The Upanishads I believe are the last transmission of Aryan thought from India.
