well, yes.
god clearly would like to smite them all right now, but it's like, he created this world to be autonomous, and he prefers to meddle as little as possible. he just wants to watch how we all move and think in the system he created. if we pray, he'll tweak some settings within the established parameters, but he doesn't tend to break his own rules. god's already told us that he's decided when he'll enact divine justice upon the evildoers.
i think it's funny, how many people whine about god "letting" bad things happen and even accuse him of being evil. but literally every awful thing that happens, or even every awful thing each person THINKS, god sees and experiences them all. like, imagine. the horror and suffering that one person experiences in their life before they die. god sees all of that, an dhe sees it for EVERY person who has ever lived. that'd drive any one of us insane. god is tough, or maybe a little masochistic to put up with all that. i can relate, just a little bit. things never go perfectly in an experiment. and what else would our current reality of free will be other than a massive experiment to see who chooses good and who chooses evil?
