It can't even make anything that is functional enough to have that problem.

So many devs don't even use AI and no one is noticing a significant difference in output between them and the ones who do.

AI is useless for programming most of the time. Midwits are all excited about it replacing "muh evil programmers who work remote while i spend all day in a cage" because they saw chatGPT write some code but that's it.

It would also need to do complex reasoning in order to be competent which transformer neural networks can't do, and it's not something they'll do by refining it, like when they stopped AI from drawing hands with 10 fingers.

We're unironically closer to having trades replaced by robots. But they think they're irreplaceable because its "muh real job" and of course robots have no balls so can't do it.

Midwits think AI can do a software dev job, but somehow we keep getting hired because most employers haven't noticed, and there's only a few layoffs from it. They also think indians can do the job despite their lower IQ, but that somehow they are only replacing a few of the jobs and everyone else is paying extra for no reason.
