I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you’re referring to as slavs, are in fact, ruthenians/eastern germanic descendants of kievan rus, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, east nordids.

Slavs are not a race unto itself, but rather another component of the ethnogenesis of the scandinavian norse germanic people from the migration of the peoples and onward, made historically relevant by the kievan rus settlements in Gardariki by the norsemen who traveled down the Volga and founded both Russia and Ukraine before being christianized by the byzantine empire.

Many eastern germanics speak the artifical glagolithic church language invented by the greek monk Cyrill, which is where the term cyrillics stems from. Before that, they spoke old norse and revered pagan germanic gods.

All the so-called "slavs" are really descendants of eastern germanics. There is objectively no argument to be made against this historical fact.

Thanks for reading, and please refer to them as "eastern germanics" next time you make a "slav" post.

You'll notice most castles are in places of conflict.
It's only natural that the middle of the land has more castles whereas island nations have less. Note that there's a bunch of castles around the scotland-England border, for example, or another belt of castles between Wales and England.

Brother, yids have nothing to do with slavs, muh germanic larp needs to stop, you are nothing more than kikels desperately trying to be something you are not.
You are not nordic, you not slavic, nor are you "germanic"
All encompassing "Germanic race" does not exists, its a delusional larp manifested by dysgenic yids from nazi germany, this larp of "oh everyone in evrop is actually germanic" is delusional and counter productive.
Btw kievan rus never existed, it was always just rus or specifically rusland. Ruthenia is another larp made by yids btw, no such thing ever existed and only came into existence as a failed proto hyhyl attempt

The fact that you are sperging out about this, is proof of my words

How do you think we feel? We don’t have ANY castles. Okay, well, we do. They’re aristocrat manor houses like you see in France and England, where they convert and old castle into a house, but the castles of Europe were actually used for war or preventing war. Here the aristocracy just did jt because the Southern tradition came from English Norman Cavalier Dandies.

I will say, though, the US has some very cool historic forts, cathedrals, and manors/mansions. Which a castle is sort of a combination of. So that’s that.

Anyways, for anyone who hasn’t heard, Carmelite Catholic Monks are building a YUGE, BEAUTIFUL Monastery in Wyoming. See picrel

Although there's can be somthing said about towns and cities fortified in that way.

Anyways, don’t blame yourself for not having castles, honestly it’s not like a bunch of war between aristocrats and nobles happened in Finland like it did France for 1000 years, you can’t blame yourself. I’m sure there are some forts on the coast of Finland because you know Sweden and Russia

The best I tracked is that this data comes from OpenStreetMap with a tag "castle"
And I quote
>The scope of the tag currently also includes non-fortified residences like palaces
In the data, you have included
>[W] Stately homes ([W] châteaux) and [W] manor houses: Unfortified residences of a lord, a noble or a gentry.

You also have actual castles in the data, it's just not a map of castles.

there's 3 actual standing castles. a few partial ruins, a few more full ruins. then some modern forts. Of course there's plenty of ancient hill forts but only a few of them have have anything you can actually see. But yeah if we add manors into the mix there's quite a few. Then some castles in Karelia are on the wrong side of the border but ho well. Pic related is ancient hill forts. They were mostly to protect people and cattle during raids. They would go there and hide whilst the men went out and repelled the attack. Not really meant for sieging like a castle.

Looking around the data a bit more,
I'm also fairly sure they just filtered with "historic=castle" and not "building=castle"
That poses a problem, because you'd ideally want things like sites, buildings or ruins.
Which means, the is basically just fucking anything vaguely related to castles. It might just be a map of old moats. It lines up very well with the data, so I'm fairly certain I'm right on the money there.

Just to emphasize why this is a problem, it didn't take long to find this little shitty islet at 44°44'33.3"N 0°41'36.4"E
This thing is a fucking castle according to that logic.

The South were also using medieval weapons near the end of the Civil War when they ran out of bullets. Though I went to a real 1800's fort near the Canadian border. They had 2 jail cells that looks like a county jail. But before that, they had a hole for a dungeon. They kept it for storage and in case they ran out of jail space.

I tried to replicate the methodology I thought they used and came up with pic related.

This map includes all kinds of bullshit that's not even buildings.
As an example all the bullshit like this >>520487172 is included. Compare to the map in the OP, I didn't go all out with diligence, I might have missed a difference.
In addition, there's shit like bunkers made in 2009 in this map. The reason I limited the area so much is that these queries aren't exactly instant.

I'm going to query for things that are actual buildings and have a meaningful classification as a defensive castle, fortification, or palace.

in german there are a number of terms specifically describing the kind of noble residence.

schloss
burg
festung
herrenhaus
gutshaus etc.

these include the 'two bit' places. keep in mind, that each of them came with land ownership and tax rights. 'castle' refers to a regional king's or lord's place and usually they had several, dedicated ones. city, hunt, summer, party, shtf retreat, and so on.

People label the data in all sorts of ways. While the pic in the OP had a silly filter, mine's not that much better. I included things specifically labelled as buildings. A lot of castles aren't buildings. A lot of castles have inconsistent "castle typing" in the data. I specifically excluded manors, which also excludes a lot of French castles that people would call castles. I advise to use your brain a little. I write a lot and haphazardly, but there's a reason I tell how I'm filtering the data.

The problem is that it's always going to both miss some sites and include sites that shouldn't be included. We can get really creative and just include medieval castles and manors that have the kind of data that's hard to spoof. This way, it's unlikely that some random moat is included.

We can kind of use logic to try and work around it. This is labelled historical castles that have era data associated with them. People are unlikely guess at that. Again, there's likely notable castles missing this way, and there's likely some random ass ex-hillfort (read: just a hill now) in the data.

Surprises me, don’t you guys have lots of stone or is it all hard to work granite?

The density of that map almost correlates with the presence of sandstone and limestone. With the areas with basalt having less stonework.

I wouldn’t want to cut granite without modern tools desu. It doesn’t like to split and is almost as hard as steel so it eats tools

I'd like to note that fucking Seikkailupuisto (https://fi.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seikkailupuisto) is listed as a historical castle in this map. Just to emphasize that all approaches are only as good as the labelled data.

Aren’t castles by definition fortresses with a civilian living space? They acted more like a local police garrison and town office than a pure military installation honestly.

Yes, you are right. I was just saying some of the mansions if militarized would count as castles. Think of the grand hall that the Rohan had in the movie. That’s a castle. It’s just a mansion with a palisade and dry moat around it but it effectively works as a castle.

Half of all of our rock is granite yes.
But it's mostly due to
1. low population
2. Sweden didn't properly develop feudalism
3. being mostly part of Sweden for 700 years, a lot of those places in germany/france were small semi-autonomous small nobles who constantly fought each other and collected their own taxes etc.

That's largely fake for France. 90% of their "château" aren't castles but palaces and mansions, i.e. Nothing fortified.

I think the biggest confusion here is both ontological and linguistic. A villa isn't really a castle in English. A city isn't a castle in English. A fort is a castle in English. What is considered a castle is inconsistent between languages.

I'm not sure about proper definition but most of the "castles" are just bigger mansions build in some period by people of specific status, that's all.

all non-Whites are desperate to live among Whites in a White centered cultural world and to cleanse their inferior genes with the superior genes of the White woman

this will never change

This isn't a map of castles. It's a map of which countries have national heritage societies that autistically map out all their castles.
Unless you assume whoever made this map surveyed every acre in Europe on his own.

This means it's still a whiteness map, just in a different way from what you assumed.
