He looks so happy.
As you get older, you realize taxes aren't about getting your money. They can just print it.
Taxes are about making sure YOU don't get your money, so you stay on the hamster wheel, distracted by transitory financial concerns. Never able to establish independence, and therefore explore other options in life.
Every time you get ahead, they hammer you down. It's how it works. It's intentional.

Every time I get a raise, taxes go up. I get hit with some new thing from the IRS. Or a new property tax, or insurance goes up arbitrarily, or some other such thing will consume it all.
Hell, even just groceries and taxes. It's all just extracting as much money as possible and leaving people hand-to-mouth throughout their entire lives.
But I like to put this question to the very general public that is /pol:
If inflation is 5% and tax rates/brackets stay the same, then the real tax burden increases. It’s effectively a stealth tax, and most economists would call it unfair to taxpayers.

Are you retarded? Your tax liability is a debt. Inflation makes your debt cheaper because you pay with dollars that are worth less than when the debt was incurred.
