Majority of Americans blame Trump for 'poor' economy
This shit is the reason the GOP is losing. If the economy is bad then the government in power loses votes.
Trying to insist that America is in a 'golden age' when prices are high and there's no jobs isn't going to work.

Majority of Americans blame Trump for 'poor' economy in new poll, showing dip in approval
More than 7 in 10 Americans say current economic conditions in the country are "poor" or "very poor in a new CNN/SSRS poll.

Yes, we know
Rasmussen polls, and Barris show that a lot of maga / GOP voters are not pleased with economic conditions and are holding the current administration accountable if things don't rapidly improve.
Problem is: none of the current economic conditions are magically 'fixable' by a presidential election or moreover a 535-member Congress that is a deadlocked Uniparty and also continues its $2T/annum spending just as it has been for the past 15 years (irrespective of Trump)

Trump is not going to save the country economically, not during his own lifetime and its unlikely that any of his projects will stave off the impending global collapse of the debt market aka worldwide confidence in USD denomination (of treasuries) that keeps the world economy afloat

The Canadian economy is bad. US econony is way better. Inflation is tame, rents are down in US.

he could start by coming clean and saying that he knows the economic situation is bad, that high stock prices dont actually mean anything to the majority of people, that there are fewer jobs and its harder to get the ones that are there, and that the common person is going deeper and deeper into poverty.

Then at least he wouldnt be gaslighting people and maybe they would consider trusting him to fix it.

Trump has nothing to do with that. Congress shut down the government. The president can't unilaterally raise the debt ceiling.

>hurr durr muh citrus caesar
If ?? Trump wants to transform America he requires the support of his party (<--that doesn't GAF about muh drumphhhh they're just waiting for him to leave), in the Congress and elsewhere nationwide, to accomplish it.
Otherwise the Uniparty deep state—which as it has been since January 2017 and still is rn Nov 2025—is simply twiddling its thumbs waiting for him to go to jail or be replaced and back to _Business As Usual_ in D.C.

republicans have had 30 years to stop the niggering of America, and they decided to import cheap labor instead.
That includes this term.
They deserve what they get.
It was pure idiocy to keep importing muslims after 9/11, but they didn't stop it.
It's the chickens coming home to roost.

Correct, the Obamacare debacle and non-fix (they've had a decade to do so) is another key component.
MTG pointed this out in criticizing her own party a few days ago on Bill Maher's show, and on The View

Congress (and the establishment Uniparty GOP, which doesn't give a flying fuck about Trump and moreover in spring 2016 spent over $10M in league with Lincoln Project and DNC to keep him being the nominee) remains the problem. To get major legislation and spending going in a different direction
Otherwise all remains the same
and the maga electorate is noticing (yes despite all the Lawfare and bullshit 2020-2024 including assassination attempts thrown Trump's direction)

>always been the economy
>Trump is making the same mistake
See my first post itt.
Global economy (never mind just the U.S. economy) is in far, *far* worse shape now in late 2025 than it even was in mid-2019 when the overnight repo collapse began (soon to be followed five months later by the laboratory covid release, which led to another $12T in liquidity for the global investment bank black box gigacasino to stay afloat)
Not to mention the U.S. and maga electorate (not just Republicans, all voters even unaffiliated) sentiment about the bottom falling out of prices, affordability and U.S. economy overall
As I read ? Trump right now in late 2025, and after the initial phase 1 of the new administration's plans w/ tariffs, re-shoring industry etc. being implemented along with continued Congress uniparty stonewalling per-prior-decades on both spending and policy, he is 'banking' on the global confidence in USD denomination (read: treasuries) that is the world's global default reserve denomination, to remain relatively high due to the U.S. economy being "rejuvenated"... though at the moment that "rejuvenation" primarily consists of market-pumping of the AI gigabubble which is soon to self-implode. Yes, some of the re-shoring of manufacturing may ?? have a positive impact though that would be a few years out, certainly not in time for the next election cycle or even to offset a global currency+debt crisis which is rn imminent.
And as seen from Trump's own current frustration with Congress and its inability to move or act, even he recognizes that a constipation has set in. Something has to give or change, and soon (if we don't get a global instantaneous implosion of the debt market prior to then which is more likely in my estimation)

See the problem is the pretension of growth is what the loans that allow for endless money printing are hedged on. If he says it's fake it will all collapse. This is one of these things people seem to not realise - if you actually want to fix teh economeeeh you will have to cause a fucking economic crisis firs and of all the times right now is the worst moment for it. The US could've done it in the 2000's when nobody would openly oppose it no matter what, right now the hole left in the financial markets by the US will be filled by the Chinese - who aren't free from their own problems, but they don't change their policy every 4 to 8 years so longer-term gradual reforms are possible, maybe.
