A work about power

Freemasons is a work based on the consultation of unpublished archives, rich in historical and socio-anthropological citations that help contextualize the research. We feel compelled to emphasize that our intention was, among many other objectives, to reconstruct the ideological and material genesis, in the medieval and Renaissance centuries, of a revolutionary society such as Freemasonry, while nevertheless dedicating the majority of the narrative to the modern and contemporary era. Indeed, we have received a number of complaints—from many potential readers with diverse interests—precisely regarding the fact that, to this day, the publishing market has offered research on Freemasonry that fails to connect the question of its pre-modern origins with its role as a highly modern builder of contemporary society.

The lamentations also refer to the realization that the aforementioned publishing market, on the subject of Freemasonry, has been limited either to sleepy, scholarly monographs, more or less solid but entirely self-sufficient, which can only be appreciated by a small group of specialists, and which are rather unexplanatory in relation to the fundamental links between Masonic power and profane society; or to the typical careless and fanciful books that exploit the conspiracy-theory and anti-Masonic vein a priori; or perhaps to some meritorious but insufficient batch of inadequately prepared essayists and/or journalists; or even to small, reassuring, and dreamy works—perhaps signed by some retired Grand Master, ma non troppo—with blatantly apologetic, hagiographic, and/or misleading and deceptive intentions, and with narrative resources that yield very modest results.

With Freemasons, on the contrary, we intend to offer a completely novel paradigm, whether regarding the secular and irresistible rise of Masonic power, or in relation to the entirely Latinist genesis of the modern and contemporary world, not to mention its management by certain real historical figures, which can undoubtedly be traced back to the world of lodges, national Grand Lodges/Grand Orients, and supranational super-lodges (Ur-Lodges). For the reader to properly assimilate the pages dealing with the most scandalous, thorny, and delicate aspects of the current globalized climate, it is necessary that, this time, they be provided with the appropriate interpretive tools, forged by a timely, mature, and astute historical-critical consciousness.

To achieve this, we have deemed necessary for this work a narrative sequence that, starting from the end of the Second World War and the construction of the first embryos of European unity in the 1950s, up to the extraordinary world events of the following decades, leads the reader to discover the formidable power of the supranational Ur-Lodges, true protagonists of the history of the 20th century and the dawn of the 21st. A history characterized by epochal political, civil, economic, and cultural conquests (built following the progressive wavelength of Freemasonry in the 17th and 18th centuries), but also by artificial wars and coups d'état controlled from abroad, by assassinations, massacres, and political attacks, whose true origins and purposes are finally explained here. through fierce and fratricidal intra-Masonic struggles for hegemony, which would lead to the construction of an ambiguous globalization, a “bastard and failed” offspring of two Freemason approaches that are ideologically antagonistic and irreconcilable. Antagonistic and irreconcilable, certainly, with regard to human rights and in relation to the problem of governance of the world society of the third millennium: for some, necessarily democratic, Keynesian, Rooseveltian, and focused on social justice; for others, entirely neo-aristocratic at the political level and neoliberal at the economic level.

The whole is enriched by the controversial and courageous explanation of how the Freemasonry of the supranational Ur-Lodges and certain circles of the traditional Freemason network, after the anti-Freemasonry campaigns suffered in the central decades of the 20th century (the work of the official policies of the Chinese Communist Party), has regained ground in China with great effort—albeit powerfully—since the beginning of the 1970s, structurally conditioning the political and economic evolution of this Eastern superpower in the following decades and up to the present day.

Freemasons demystifies this tendency in conspiracy literature and some contemporary media to confuse causes with effects, or rather, to focus on secondary and subordinate causes, such as national-regional, continental, or globalist para-Masonic associations (useful from a Masonic perspective, especially as a "screen of convenience"; seemingly extremely private entities, but which, in the end, are often and deliberately employed as visible and valuable "scarecrows," as a cover and disguise for less tangible and perceptible inner circles), instead of piercing through the many veils and thus being able to see the unmistakable profile of the supranational Ur-Lodges.

Freemasonry and paramasonry

Much has been said in recent years about para-Masonic societies such as the Trilateral Commission and the Bilderberg Group, but it is conveniently ignored that the creation, control, and management of such globalist societies depend firmly on the even more reserved, restricted, and selective environments of the Ur-Lodges mentioned above.

To give an example, the institution of the Bilderberg Group in 1954 (whose true history is unknown even to those who, laymen or initiates lacking the status of "very important authorized Masonic personnel," periodically publish voluminous books full of sensationalist tautologies worthy of a better cause) was the joint work of two supranational Ur-Lodges completely unknown to the general public: the "Pan-Europe" and the "Compass Star-Rose/Rosa Stella Ventorum."

Similarly, the founding of the Trilateral Commission was directed with a wise and iron hand by the Freemasons of the Ur-Lodge "Three Eyes," a true protagonist—along with certain other transnational super-lodges—of the history of the second half of the 20th century, from West to East, from North to South.

But it is the entire methodological approach that characterizes the current state of what contemporary media operators think that is seriously deficient for the subject of Freemasonry and para-Freemasonry—and that is when there is not an uncomfortable and censorious silence about it, the product of a gross good faith on the part of those who know they do not have the appropriate cultural tools to understand and report on certain topics, or else of a refined and cynical bad faith on the part of those who have an interest, on behalf of third parties, in ensuring that certain matters are not addressed unless in a scandalous, untimely, and sensationalist manner.

To begin to properly frame these two closely interconnected topics (it must be borne in mind that para-Masonic entities would not exist without the support of Masonic superlodges behind them, while the reverse is not true), and also to begin to focus on the para-Masonic and/or Masonic profile of some Italian and European governments, we will examine the specific nature of some para-Masonic associations, the structural and functional profile of para-Masons, and the relationship of subordination that links them to the superordinate circuits of the Iatonia.

Book structure and objectives

This volume, Freemasons: All Their Secrets Revealed, is dedicated primarily to the supranational super-lodges, the absolute protagonists of the dynamics of hidden and explicit power in the second half of the 20th century, from the end of World War II and the birth of Europe (whose constitution was inspired by Masonic circles), to the scandalous and significant events of our time. As specified at the beginning of the introduction, this is a collective work, written, coordinated, supervised, and signed by Gioele Magaldi (who assumes full authorship, even legally, declaring himself solely responsible for all its contents), with the essential collaboration of several prestigious insiders of the international Masonic network. The contents of this work are not based solely, nor even primarily, on a simple lay recognition—albeit scientifically oriented, and entirely unprecedented in its interpretive approach—of certain particularly significant events that accompanied the birth and structuring of the modern and contemporary world. This project, in fact, makes use of the systematic exploration of the documentary material accessible to lay scholars investigating the genesis of today's globalized society. Currently, this documentary material is preserved in the private archives of Ur-Lodges and in the equally confidential archives of certain prestigious ordinary lodges or of some eminent solitary members of international Latin aristocracies.

Who is the (heretical) brother Gioele Magaldi

I met Gioele Magaldi—who had been Worshipful Master of the prestigious Roman Masonic lodge "Monte Sion," under the obedience of the Grand Orient of Italy (GOI), as well as future Grand Master of the Grand Democratic Orient (GOD) Masonic movement—in May 2010, when he was still just a dissident within the GOI and an opponent of the then Grand Master, Gustavo Raffi. "Simple," however, is a rather misleading adjective: nothing about Magaldi was "simple"; and nothing is today. When he was barely forty, he was a man of average height but stocky and muscular (he had practiced boxing and full-contact in his youth and made sure to show it), with a torrent of loquacity and very lively eyes, always impeccably dressed, sometimes even too handsome; And always late, always with the somewhat mysterious air of someone who has just left a meeting where the fate of the world has been decided. At that time, in reality, what was being decided was his own destiny in the Grand Orient: initiated at twenty-six thanks to the insistence of two heavyweights of the Palazzo Giustiniani, namely the future Grand Secretary Giuseppe Abramo and the former Deputy Grand Master Ivan Mosca, a distinguished esotericist, the young Magaldi, a Philosophy graduate and student of the alchemical mysteries (a family passion, he told me, immediately afterward giving me one of his books on alchemy), at only thirty-four years old was already a Worshipful Master of "Mount Zion" and a 30th-degree member of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite. A record: the youngest Worshipful Master in Italy.

Just as quickly, he became a kind of protégé of Gustavo Raffi, carried on a silver platter by the institutional leadership of the Grand Lodge of Italy (GOI), and, after not long, he ended up crashing against the establishment of the Palazzo Giustiniani, criticizing practically everything: the Grand Lodge, the political maneuvering and the petty politicians, the "deficit of democracy, pluralism, and internal freedom." For this, he was reprimanded more than once, later frequently suspended, and finally expelled. But he remained steadfast, and in order to be included in the largest Italian Masonic obedience, he went, before the astonished gaze of his brethren, to a civil court of the Republic. Something never before seen in the entire history of Freemasonry. To put the internal affairs of initiates in the hands of profane people? In the hands of a female judge, to top it all off? It seemed almost a mockery, given that women are not even admitted to the GOI. Even worse: it reeked of provocation and tasted of heresy.

For someone who studies Giordano Bruno, in any case, being a heretic is a primary virtue. And therefore: “The true reasons for my expulsion lay precisely within myself, in being a ‘heretic,’” he insists today with evident satisfaction. What does that mean? “I was expelled for ‘crimes of opinion,’ for having dared to criticize the acting Grand Master. Medieval Inquisition style. Nothing to do with Masonic free thought.” It is not relevant here to analyze the details of a dispute that lasted for years, considering the pace of Italian justice. Let us just say that the Court of Rome, after many exhausting hearings, ordered the Palazzo Giustiniani to lift the suspension of the dissident; but he could not re-enter the office with the other brethren because, in the meantime, Raffi’s followers had expelled him yet again. At that point, he was no longer interested in continuing to fight to be readmitted. Not only had Grand Master Raffi, upon concluding his third term, retired to private life, but this adventure had also led Brother Gioele to gradually make contact with other Masonic circles, this time international ones. Just as international is the reach of Freemasons. All their secrets revealed.

Brother Silvio

In fact, many things had never been seen before Magaldi. In July 2010, on the GOD website, Open Letter No. 1 to Brother Silvio Berlusconi appeared, followed shortly after by Open Letter No. 2, both written as admonitions, political advice, and challenges in Masonic style addressed to the illustrious initiate of Arcore. Berlusconi, the President of the Italian Council, a Freemason? Absolutely! His initiation was already known, conferred directly by the Grand Master (Emeritus) Giordano Gamberini, in January 1978 in Rome, in the presence of Licio Gelli, Worshipful Master of the "P2" lodge, which was later dissolved by Berlusconi himself as if it were a joke. But the Masonic initiation, as Brother Gioele reminds Brother Silvio, once conferred, is indelible: "Indelible like all priestly and mystery ordinations."

Thus, the GOD tells us of a Berlusconi quite different from the one we are accustomed to: an attentive devotee of astrology, a student of Egyptian esotericism, someone who creates refined esoteric-Masonic designs for his gardens in Sardinia and for his funerary mausoleum in Arcore, someone who frequents the international Masonic milieu and has close ties, cultivated since 1992-1993, in the most conservative Anglo-American Masonic circles. And there is more. Brother Silvio is the founder and Worshipful Master of his own personal lodge, the "Lodge of the Dragon," whose rites are not unrelated to the bunga bunga that so fervently stirred up the media around the world during those days.

In contrast, the Open Letter to Brother Silvio Berlusconi has a different fate in the media. It's discussed on many websites, but in very few newspapers, so much so that Magaldi is right to denounce their cowardice and censorship. Even then, his relationship with journalists wasn't (and never will be) excellent. "Condescending," is how one journalist from Corriere della Sera describes him after an interview; some even dismiss him as a mythomaniac, others as a folkloric figure. In any case, the letter is circulating in the most disparate circles. And while it causes quite a stir among Roman Freemasons, some unease, and in some cases even annoyance, there are also those who utter the classic "he's crazy" in a tone of frank amusement and admiration.

In any case, Berlusconi doesn't deny it. And the GOD, little by little, is becoming a point of reference not only for democratic Freemasons and anti-Raffi dissidents, but also for citizens, journalists, and politicians seeking juicy indiscretions about the Freemason back office.

In the back office of Freemasonry

And so we arrive at the heart of the matter. It is precisely regarding the GOD that Magaldi, in his imaginative and torrential style, first alludes to the existence of a veritable "back room," a "behind the scenes" where "the true questions of power in the contemporary era" are discussed and deliberated. A back office that is obviously Masonic, whose main protagonists are all Freemasons, just as the heads of state and political leaders who diligently implement the decisions made by the optimates in their highly secretive inner circles are Freemasons (or, at most, para-Masons). That this is said by a Freemason makes it a rather interesting truth; and, in fact, the Chiarelettere publishing house doesn't miss the opportunity to delve deeper into this new vision of power dynamics. In July 2010, the Freemasons project was born, spearheaded by Magaldi. And why that subtitle? "Because the Freemasons, as a whole," the former Worshipful Master proudly explained, "have had and continue to have unlimited responsibility in the major events of modernity and contemporary times."

It was announced that the book would be released in the spring of 2011. However, when that date arrived, it wasn't published. In fact, in January 2011, Magaldi vanished off the map. Mysterious as usual, more so than ever, the usually forthright Gioele spoke very little this time. Occasionally, he mentioned that he was traveling to London, and also to New York. With some effort, we learned that he had to "review certain documents," that he had to "speak with certain brothers." That he was "studying." That he was "working very hard." And then, absolute silence. And it remained that way for almost four years.

That he's still alive, we know. Between serious and joking, after all, he had already assured us that he had no "vocation for martyrdom or for being an unarmed prophet," and that he had entrusted "lifesaver" documents and memoirs to certain hands he trusted completely. Therefore, he is alive and continues to give interviews and argue frequently with journalists. He is alive and continues to oversee the GOD website, which is gradually publishing a Masonic interpretation of Mario Monti, the Prime Minister since the fall of 2011, and of his ties to the reactionary and neo-aristocratic Latomist circuit, whose highest European exponent would be the President of the ECB, Mario Draghi; it illustrates the para-Masonic figure of the new occupant of the Palazzo Chigi, Enrico Letta; and it denounces the Latomist ambitions of the newly arrived Matteo Renzi.

Thanks to the GOD, we learned that Magaldi is organizing an association "for liberal socialism" named after one of its totem figures, the Freemason Eleanor Roosevelt, mother of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and wife of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, who, as President of the United States, saved Europe from Nazism and fascism and rebuilt it thanks to the aid of the Marshall Plan. Both were Freemasons, Roosevelt and his Secretary of State, George Marshall. And John Maynard Keynes was also a Freemason, whose economic principles inspired the Marshall Plan.

Summarizing it here is, obviously, impossible. Let's just say it's a reinterpretation of the last two centuries from a perspective that, for the uninitiated, is absolutely unprecedented: that of the famous Freemason back office, or high office. Calling it "backroom" is reductionist. What lies behind the scenes is a genuine operations room; moreover, there are several operations rooms, allied or adversarial, depending on historical circumstances. Because Freemasonry is not a monolith, as Brother Gioele explains: it is rather a universe populated by progressives and conservatives, libertarians and neo-aristocrats, oligarchs and democrats, all of them involved in an eternal confrontation-struggle from which the great challenges of modernity were born, with its enlightened dreams of liberty, equality, fraternity, and democracy, but also the nightmares of Nazism and fascism in Europe and of the successive dictatorships in Latin America and the Middle East.

The secrets of the Ur-Lodges

In 2010, the famous year he vanished from the map, Gioele Magaldi joined the "Thomas Paine," the oldest Ur-Lodge in the world (dating back to 1849-1850). And here it would be appropriate to explain what Ur-Lodges are, whose existence, first mentioned in these pages, was for a century and a half one of modern Freemasonry's best-kept secrets. According to Magaldi, super-lodges are "the Masonic circles that are protagonists of contemporary history," that is, "groups and individuals with a structurally supranational and cosmopolitan orientation and vocation" who have "considerably left behind the now modest influence of ordinary Freemasonry." What is the difference between them and regular Freemasonry? And what do Ur-Lodges do?

Regarding the Ur-Lodges circuit… “It is a network of super-lodges that are constitutively based on a cosmopolitan foundation and with a supranational identity and operational vocation. These super-lodges, since their inception, have always affiliated only the most eminent and notable members of ordinary Freemasonry, who thus found themselves in the valuable position of being able to move freely in both contexts and to have access to the best instruments of both circuits to achieve their goals. Add to this the initiation ex novo of profane men and women of special political, economic-financial, media, ecclesiastical, intellectual, artistic, etc., prestige, whose only condition was that they exhibit undeniable signs of a genuine desire for sapiential and esoteric perfection.” It's perfectly clear.

There are conservative Ur-lodges—the Edmund Burke, the Joseph de Maistre, the Compass Star-Rose, the Pan-Europa, the Three Eyes, the White Eagle, to name a few—and progressive ones, starting with the Thomas Paine and continuing with the Montesquieu, the Christopher Columbus, the Ioannes, the Hiram Rhodes Revels, and the Ghedullah. All with an international vocation, just as their field of action in the world is international.

The Thomas Paine Lodge has been frequented by Freemasons who have shaped the history of Italy and the world, such as Giuseppe Mazzini, Giuseppe Garibaldi (who was also the first Grand Master of the Grand Orient of Italy), John Stuart Mill, Victor Hugo, Jules Michelet, Louis Blanc, and Proudhon. But also Darwin, Bernard Shaw, Kerensky, Keynes, Gandhi, George Orwell, Altiero Spinelli, Nelson Mandela, Arthur Schlesinger Jr., and Eleanor and Franklin Delano Roosevelt, who was also closely associated with the Grand Lodge of the State of New York and was, in fact, initiated in 1911 into Holland Lodge No. 8 in the Grand Orient of New York.

These names alone are enough to give an idea of the rich history and international reach of this super-council of super-brothers.

Well, in 2010 the former Worshipful Master of Mount Zion had the opportunity to access the documents kept in the archives (highly confidential!) of the Thomas Paine Lodge, and for the next four years he was able to examine a mountain of papers that were certainly not intended for uninitiated eyes: memoirs, diplomas, texts, letters, Masonic tablets, membership lists, documents from the lodge's work... And then? "Together with the other brothers who collaborated on Masons, we had access to the documents kept by other Ur-Lodges such as the Ioannes, the Montesquieu, the Edmund Burke, the Three Eyes, the Compass Star-Rose, the Leviathan, the White Eagle, and the Hathor Pentalpha." Then, by cross-referencing our respective readings, we were able to reconstruct certain events with the utmost philological and hermeneutical rigor.

His eyes sparkle. "Let's just say these are some pretty explosive reconstructions," he admits, with the smug look of a cat that's just swallowed a big mouse. And he adds, with even greater satisfaction, that this is "a work still in progress," because there's so much material left to review and the revelations yet to be made are endless. In fact, he already has another couple of books in mind, this time about the Global Power and its Venerable Masters. All we can do is wait.

But what about the documents? What about the evidence? What about verifying it?

“The originals are kept by their usual custodians, that is, the secretaries and archivists of the various Ur-Lodges.” And they must remain in their hands. On this point, there is no possibility of mediation. “But the undersigned, as well as the other brothers who collaborated on the writing of *Masons*, have taken the trouble to make photocopies of all the material that has been examined and of that much larger amount still to be examined, and have deposited them in certain notary and legal offices in Paris, London, and New York.” And that, too, remains where it is: in the hands of lawyers and notaries. These are confidential documents from highly private archives, we are reminded; and as such, they are not intended for a lay public, nor is any declassification procedure foreseen, although one day Magaldi hopes to obtain the green light for an anthology that will make this material available to non-Masonic scholars as well.

And in the meantime? Brother Gioele offers reassurance: “In case of denials and blatant challenges, the documents will be published with appropriate media attention.” And not only that. Four eminent figures of the global Masonic establishment, distinguished brothers who collaborated on Masons “with their concrete and detailed revelations” and who, for now, in the book, hide behind an initiatory pseudonym, have declared themselves willing to “appear before the public face to face.”

Because this is no ordinary book: “The publication of Freemasons and Global Power and Its Worshipful Masters constitutes a resounding and definitive declaration of war against the oligarchic, technocratic, and anti-democratic projects of involution emanating from the most reactionary and neo-aristocratic of all contemporary Ur-Lodges.” And these are projects that concern “Italy, Europe, and the West, and therefore, the entire world.”

In short. There's a war raging somewhere in the famous back office, and it's a war that concerns us. Through Freemasons, the initiated give us their testimony. Perhaps partial, perhaps even fragmentary, perhaps even too complicated. But certainly (and without a doubt) very, very extraordinary. Why miss the opportunity to take a more insightful look at what's happening among the super-aprons of the planet?

Pat Buchanan's Biography

Patrick Buchanan has been a senior advisor to three Presidents, twice a candidate for the Republican presidential nomination, and the nominee of the Reform Party in 2000.

Born in Washington, D.C., Mr. Buchanan was educated at Gonzaga High School where he was graduated first in his class in 1956. He attended Georgetown on a full academic scholarship, and was graduated with honors in English and Philosophy in 1961, and inducted into the university’s Gold Key Society. He received a masters degree from the Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia in 1962. At 23, he became the youngest editorial writer on a major newspaper in America: The St. Louis Globe-Democrat.

After arranging a meeting with former Vice President Richard Nixon in December of 1965, Mr. Buchanan became the first full-time
staffer in his legendary comeback. He traveled with the future President in the campaigns of 1966 and 1968, and to the Middle East, Africa and Israel in the immediate aftermath of the Six Day War. From January of 1969 to August of 1974, he was a Special Assistant to President Nixon, worked with the President on the Cambodian invasion speech, and with Vice President Agnew on many of his speeches on the media and student disorders.

Mr. Buchanan was a member of the official US delegation to the Peoples Republic of China in 1972, and attended the Moscow-Yalta-Minsk summit of 1974. After President Nixon’s resignation, Mr. Buchanan served President Ford until October of 1974.

After leaving the White House, Mr. Buchanan became a nationally syndicated columnist, and in May of 1982 began as a panelist on NBC’s “The McLaughlin Group” and a co-host of CNN’s new show “Crossfire.”

In 1985, Mr. Buchanan returned to the White House as Director of Communications. He accompanied President Reagan to his Geneva summit with Mikhail Gorbachev and was with President Reagan in Hofde House at Reykjavik which has been described as the decisive summit of the Cold War. On leaving the White House in 1987, Mr. Buchanan returned to journalism, his syndicated column, and to “The McLaughlin Group,” “Crossfire,” and began hosting a new show, “Capital Gang” on CNN.

In December 1991, Mr. Buchanan challenged President George H. W. Bush for the Republican nomination and almost upset the President in New Hampshire, winning 3 million votes in the GOP primaries. In August 1992, Mr. Buchanan opened the Republican convention in Houston with his speech on the “culture war” which is now ranked among the most controversial in convention history. In 1996, he ran a second time for the GOP nomination, won the New Hampshire primary, and finished second to Sen. Dole, again, with three million Republican votes.

After winning the nomination of the Reform Party in 2000, Mr. Buchanan retired from politics and became again an author, columnist, and a commentator on MSNBC for almost a decade.

Mr. Buchanan has written 14 books, including seven straight New York Times bestsellers: A Republic, Not an Empire; The Death of the West; Where the Right Went Wrong, State of Emergency, Day of Reckoning, Churchill, Hitler and The Unnecessary War, Suicide of a Superpower and The Greatest Comeback: How Richard Nixon Rose from Defeat to Create the New Majority. His newest book is Nixon’s White House Wars.

Mr. Buchanan is currently an author, columnist, chairman of The American Cause foundation, and an editor of The American Conservative. He is married to the former Shelley Ann Scarney, who was a member of the Richard Nixon’s vice presidential staff from 1959-61, and a member of the White House Staff from 1969 to 1975.

Erik Prince Biography

Erik Prince is an entrepreneur, private investor, and thought leader on military reform. He founded Blackwater Worldwide, an integrated private military corporation, after active service as a US Navy SEAL.

Mr. Prince also founded Presidential Airways, a global transportation company with over 75 aircraft operating in emerging markets. After selling Blackwater, he founded Frontier Resource Group, a private equity firm focused on natural resource projects and manufacturing.
