To power with square and compass

So, what is Freemasonry today, Magaldi? "Freemasonry always moves in the same direction, which is that of knowledge and power, whether material or spiritual." Power is a word that comes up often in his answers. And in Freemasons, throughout page after page, he relentlessly and meticulously lists the protagonists of that power he's talking about: Merkel, Schröder, Sarkozy, Hollande, Chirac, Mitterrand, Blair, Thatcher; almost all the American presidents, except Jimmy Carter, Richard Nixon, and Ronald Reagan, who weren't Freemasons but merely para-Freemasons; Deng Xiaoping, Vladimir Putin, and before him Gorbachev, Yeltsin, Stalin, and Lenin. And the Shah of Persia, Reza Pahlavi, Golda Meir and Moshe Dayan, the anti-apartheid leader Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi, even a pope who was recently canonized, John XXIII, Gianni Agnelli, Giorgio Napolitano, Francesco Cossiga, Massimo D’Alema… We could fill a phone book with this many names. All of them Freemasons. All of them affiliated with some Ur-Lodge. True? False? Half true and half false? For a layperson, as we have already said, it is impossible to verify in the lodge archives the names of those who have actually been initiated, where and when, or by whom they were presented. And if Magaldi asserts: “Mario Draghi is affiliated with as many as five Ur-Lodges,” and lists the “Edmund Burke,” the “Three Eyes,” the “White Eagle,” the “Compass Star-Rose,” and the “Pan-Europa,” the lay reader has no choice but to believe him. Or not. But setting aside the possibility of error, the potential controversial misunderstanding, the denials or counter-denials that may arise, there is something that stands out: and that is the vividness, the narrative.

Magaldi, today the power, the real power, is Masonic, right? Isn't that right?

"Without a doubt. True power is Masonic." Is there any world leader today whose rise to power has not been supported by Freemasonry? Does someone who is not a Freemason, or has not been supported by Freemasons, have any chance of reaching power? "No. There is no chance for anyone who is not personally a Freemason or supported by Freemasons (that is, who belongs to the category of de jure or de facto para-Masons) to access the most coveted and decisive positions." Why? "The modern and contemporary world has been built by Freemasonry, defeating the old ecclesiastical and hereditary aristocracies." And today its most eminent members control and manage its functioning for meritorious (democratic, liberal, libertarian, secular, egalitarian and philanthropic) purposes or execrable ones, such as the constitution of new oligarchies of spirit and finance superordinate with respect to popular sovereignty, which in fact is thus emptied of substance.

Of course, some of the behind-the-scenes workings of the set square and protractor have been known to us for some time, at least to scholars; but the sequential reading of the events, the weaving of the episodes together, or the act of appealing to historians to reinforce one or another aspect of the narrative is what creates, in the reader, the feeling of being in the presence of a living project. A plan. We didn't know it, but the apron is present in every important event of our history. There are aprons, and there is a harsh, sometimes fratricidal, dialectic between the back offices of different tendencies. There are the democrats against the neo-aristocrats. The progressives against the conservatives. And it is not always easy for us to understand who is who, which side they are on, or why. For example, the rises of Mussolini and Hitler also occurred thanks to the ruthless support and even more ruthless funding by the conservative Anglo-American Masonic milieu, and their downfall occurred thanks to the efforts of two Freemasons with strong liberal or democratic convictions, Winston Churchill (a former conservative and repentant pro-fascist) and Franklin Delano Roosevelt. So far, so good. Things get complicated when it is discovered that Churchill and Roosevelt, in order to declare war on the Nazi-fascists, first had to overcome fierce resistance from within their own ranks. Those opposed to intervention in Europe were precisely those conservative Freemasons (among whom, paradoxically, were Jews) who were doing lucrative business with the Nazi-fascists.

Can we complicate the picture even further? In those same years, the conservative brothers also had business dealings with the USSR, the other theoretical enemy, thanks to their lodge ties with the communist establishment that had emerged from the revolutions of 1917. Revolutions financed, it is claimed in Masons, by that same Ur-Lodge front that officially made the fight against communism, during the ensuing Cold War, one of the pillars of their international action. The Freemasons have always been very adept at playing on several fronts at once. Both on this side and the other side of the Iron Curtain.

If ordinary lodges were indeed a prohibited product in the USSR and throughout the Eastern Bloc—as in all totalitarian dictatorships, as well as in the Catholic Church: coincidence?—for the party leaders, the path was always twofold. Heavyweights like CPSU General Secretary Leonid Brezhnev, as well as his successors, applied for and easily obtained membership in some Ur-Lodges that operated between West and East, with strong roots in Central Europe. And isn't it a coincidence that the communist nomenklatura's favorite super-lodge was one of reactionary and conservative orientation? The "Joseph de Maistre" is indeed a very, very elitist office, with a fantastic history: created in Switzerland in early 1917, it even counted among its promoters Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov Lenin, who later organized its re-establishment in March 1921 on the sidelines of the Tenth Congress of the CPSU. The same congress, Magaldi perversely reminds us, that "established, among other things, the authoritarian prohibition against forming internal factions within the party."

One thing remains to be understood, Magaldi. How did the communist leaders come to frequent the Masonic lodges, where they mingled with the German and Euro-Atlantic jet set of conservative Freemasonry? With the enemy, in short? "Precisely because these Ur-Lodges were capable of connecting the circuits of hidden communist power with the equally secret Western circles." But why choose, as Brezhnev did, a super-lodge like the "De Maistre," programmatically opposed to reducing tension between the Western and Soviet blocs without paying a high price? "Precisely for that reason. To plan, let's say, the areas of friction between the two superpowers, so that both sides could obtain political and economic benefits." Quite simple. And that, gentlemen, is how the back office works.

Between Pope John XXIII and John F. Kennedy

The history of the last sixty years of the Masonic back office is largely yet to be written. And for us, outsiders, it is also quite difficult to follow. "New Frontier" was precisely the name of the ideological, political, and cultural program developed by the progressive Freemason Arthur Schlesinger Jr.—to whom Italy owes a great deal, let us remember—first for President John Fitzgerald Kennedy, and later for his brother Robert. We can place its grand starting point in Italy, on October 28, 1958, with the election of the first Freemason pope in history: Angelo Roncalli, from Sotto il Monte, in the province of Bergamo. His coronation as the 261st Bishop of Rome is celebrated as the umpteenth brilliant operation of the democratic back office, formed for the occasion by a series of super lodges in coalition, more or less within the orbit of the liberal and democratic area of the Catholic world: from the "Ecclesia" to the "Ioannes," from the "Thomas Paine" to the "Christopher Columbus"; and we must also add the "Montesquieu" and the "Ghedullah," the "Simón Bolívar" and the "Daath." The proposal of those Ur- Lodges was frenzied, shocking, and revolutionary; And therefore, for us, utterly unbelievable: "to favor the election, for the first time in history, of a spiritually innovative Freemason pope and, simultaneously, of the first non-Masonic, yet Catholic and progressive-oriented, president of the United States." John XXIII and John Fitzgerald Kennedy. The former ascended the throne of Peter on November 4, 1958, and the latter entered the White House as President of the United States of America on January 20, 1961.

Is it worthwhile to digress for a moment regarding Brother Angelo Giuseppe Roncalli? Of course. After many years of rumors about his membership in the Masonic world, Freemasons finally offers some details. The "Good Pope" received his first Masonic initiation in Istanbul in 1940 at the Ur- Lodge "Ghedullah," then as now passionately committed to the study of Kabbalah and the Rosicrucian tradition. Roncalli, who arrived in Paris in 1944 as apostolic nuncio, received a second initiation in 1949 at the highly militant progressive Ur-Lodge "Montesquieu," which recognized his fourth degree as Master Legislator. Still not satisfied, thanks to the mediation of the brothers of the "Ghedullah" who maintained contact with the "Ioannes," another supranational Ur-Lodge, he was officially initiated as a Rosicrucian brother in 1950.

But here, and Freemasons doesn't mention this, a chasm opens up. Because a couple of centuries earlier, on April 28, 1738, Pope Clement XII imposed the first excommunication in history on Freemasonry: "We decree that we must condemn and prohibit, as with this present Our Constitution, with perpetual validity, the aforementioned Societies, Unions, Meetings, Congregations, Aggregations, or Cliques of Freemasons or Masons, or by any other name by which they may be known." And the excommunication was reiterated on multiple occasions by other pontiffs, including the penultimate one, Joseph Ratzinger, when he was head of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, and despite the presence in the Vatican of many cardinals and prelates quietly affiliated with the "Ecclesia," the "Ioannes," the "Christopher Columbus," or other Ur-Lodges. A question arises that is now unavoidable for us readers: how can the Church publicly accept a Freemason pope, and therefore (in theory) under excommunication? And how can he even be made a saint? His canonization, moreover unexpected, was a personal decision of the current pope, Francis, who also wanted the ceremony to take place concurrently with that (planned) for John Paul II. On April 27, 2014, according to the authors of *Freemasons*, a progressive Freemason, Angelo Roncalli, and a conservative para-Mason, Karol Wojtyła, who maintained close ties with Anglo-American Freemasons, were canonized live on television

You don't, these are real secret societies and no one has access to any record unless you are in it, you'll have to go by instinct.
The idea is, that regular freemasonry is mostly irrelevant, outside of manipulation local politicians and that they are not directing global events, instead the cosmopolitan elite started creating their own international "lodges" around 1848 since regular freemasonry was becoming too popular and these societies are supposedly the ones behind global events.

The last great period led by democratic Freemasonry ended far too soon. On June 3, 1963, Pope John XXIII died of a stomach tumor while the extraordinary Second Vatican Council was still underway, a council that would so profoundly change the Church's relationship with society. Five and a half months later, on November 22, in Dallas, JFK was assassinated, leaving the great Masonic dream of the progressive New Frontier unfinished. Just after his death, the United States entered the war against Vietnam, peaceful demonstrations began, and the era of protests began at universities: everything was changing, in the United States and in the world. And very quickly. And indeed, even the General Secretary of the CPSU, Nikita Khrushchev, who along with Kennedy and John XXIII was more than willing to usher in a new era of trenchment, disappeared from the scene. Deposed in October 1964 thanks to a coup within the party's own Central Committee, the Freemason Khrushchev (affiliated with the "Golden Eurasia," the same group as Putin and Merkel) will leave the way clear for his brother Brezhnev, a member of the now-famous "Joseph de Maistre" group, well supplied with contacts among Euro-Atlantic conservatives. Beyond factions and partisan stances, and also beyond countries, histories, and jurisdictions, what ultimately matters, as Freemasons teach us, is belonging to the same back office. And, from the late 1960s onward, the Three Eyes Lodge is the back office. The most active and fearsome. Together with the Edmund Burke Lodge, it organizes the coup d'état by the colonels (Freemasons and reactionaries) in Greece, supports General Francisco Franco (a reactionary and friend of reactionary Freemasons, as well as a persecutor of liberal democratic brethren) in Spain, backs the dictatorship of António de Oliveira Salazar (a Freemason and reactionary) in Portugal, and applauds the repression of the Prague Spring by reactionary Soviet and Czechoslovak Freemasons affiliated with the Ur-Lodge Joseph de Maistre. In Latin America, he assists the leaders of the ruthless military (and Masonic) dictatorships resulting from what was known as Operation Condor. In communist China, when it had not yet opened up to the West, he manages to recruit Zhou Enlai and Deng Xiaoping, with whom he begins to divide (as early as the 1970s!) areas of political influence and lucrative business deals. In short: his long arm reaches everywhere. Including Italy. At this point, Magaldi's story becomes especially fascinating for the Italian reader. True? False? Ah, here come into play the now-famous documents that are inaccessible to the uninitiated but which the "repentant and/or dissident brothers" of the "Three Eyes" and other reactionary Ur-Lodges photocopied and gave to the authors of *Masons*; these authors then compared them with those arriving from the progressive super-lodges. What do these papers say? That Italy had been saved from no less than three attempted coups, which had already been approved by the authoritative voice of the aristocratic and conservative Henry Kissinger—in 1969 and 1970 by Junio Valerio Borghese, and in 1974 by Edgardo Sogno: both members, not coincidentally, of the "Three Eyes"—only thanks to the intervention of the democratic Freemason Arthur Schlesinger Jr., ideologue of the Kennedy New Frontier and several times Worshipful Master of the progressive Ur-Lodges "Thomas Paine" and "Benjamin Franklin." And, according to Magaldi, the current President of the Republic, Giorgio Napolitano, will also be there, having been co-opted in Washington in April 1978, during his first trip to the United States. “My favorite communist,” as Kissinger affectionately described him in a later meeting. And Licio Gelli, Magaldi, isn’t he there? “No.

Gelli was never admitted to the ‘Three Eyes’ mother lodge, and it’s something that has always bothered him deeply. But…” “But?” “In 1972, he became the organizing secretary of the ‘P2’ thanks to the direct intervention of three heavyweights from the ‘Three Eyes’ lodge.” And who were they? “Henry Kissinger, at that time the National Security Advisor for the United States. Societies like the Bilderberg Group and the Trilateral Commission, despite their very different communication styles (for example, the Trilateral Commission is more extroverted than the Bilderberg Group, and so on), have the primary mission of acting as lightning rods, distorting mirrors, and protective and diverting screens with respect to the Masonic back office, where the true questions of contemporary power are discussed and deliberated. So who, then, is behind the Trilateral Commission? "The 'Three Eyes.' The brothers with 'three eyes' founded the commission in 1973 and have always controlled it absolutely. So much so that the Trilateral Commission's manifesto, *The Crisis of Democracy*, reiterates the political and economic programmatic guidelines for the West that were developed in the top-secret meetings of the Ur-Lodge that created it. Neo-aristocrats at war. From the Reagan assassination attempt to the discovery of the "P2"

The "Three Eyes" movement, it should be noted, has not limited itself to generating conservative, oligarchic, and neo-aristocratic ideology. Rather, to move from theory to practice, from the global to the local, it has relied on hundreds of collaborators, some more eminent than others, in every corner of the planet. That is why Licio Gelli, born in 1919, can be included here. He is one of the most controversial figures in the history of Italy (but also of Romania, Venezuela, Uruguay, Brazil, Argentina, the Principality of Monaco…) during the 1970s and 80s: a magnificent example of how the international back office, in those years, equipped itself to carry out local projects. A former director of a mattress company. Affiliated with the "Domenico Romagnosi" lodge in Rome, and Worshipful Master of the "Propaganda 2" lodge of the Grand Orient of Italy (GOI), by 1975 he had already begun organizing a kind of anomalous, personal, and open Ur-Lodge, the World Organization of Masonic Thought and Assistance (OMPAM/WOMTA), for which he even applied to the UN for accreditation as a non-governmental organization.

Currently, some dismiss him hastily as a folkloric old man, almost a loudmouth, who recklessly took the helm of a lodge outside the official circuit and, perhaps, after all, quite harmless. Nothing could be further from the truth. Worshipful Master Gelli was so aligned with the supranational projects of their authors that both his affiliation and his successive degree advancements were, in practice, imposed on the GOI by his conservative brethren in the Euro-Atlantic region. For him, mythological figures of Freemasonry like Frank Gigliotti, the man who helped rebuild the Masonic network in Italy after the war, a very conservative member of the Geburah, the Compass Star-Rose, and the Three Eyes (of which he had been one of the founders), went to the trouble. We have already mentioned Kissinger, Helms, and Hoover. Let us add Valéry Giscard d’Estaing. All of them were ready to intervene on Gelli's behalf whenever the leadership of the Grand Orient of Italy, concerned about the increasingly opaque management of the Propaganda Lodge, tried to limit him. But why Magaldi?

“Because Gelli was supposed to transform the “P2” lodge into an auxiliary structure, at the national level in Italy, of the “Three Eyes.” And its members, belonging to the highest political and institutional spheres, the army, the service sector, the economic and financial sectors, the media, etc., etc., were supposed to be, according to the plans of the Worshipful Masters, those who would prop up the authoritarian-elitist regime that was already prepared to be implemented in 1969, 1970, and 1974, through the coups d'état organized by the brothers Junio Valerio Borghese and Edgardo Sogno.” If Schlesinger hadn't intervened. Gelli's downfall was no accident. Moreover, and this is a rule about the back office that must be learned quickly: nothing in the rearguard of Freemason power happens by chance. In that famous year of 1981, when in Italy the (incomplete!) lists of the 962 members of the "P2" were discovered, causing an unprecedented political and institutional earthquake, another bitter civil war was being waged behind the scenes; and it was a particularly harsh, dirty, and wicked war. This time, those massacring each other were no longer the progressives and the conservatives: for years, the democratic brethren had been in full retreat, and the world stage, for almost fifteen years, had been in the hands of hyper-oligarchs led by that sort of tank that was the "Three Eyes" of Rockefeller and Kissinger. (This last sentence appears to be incomplete and possibly a fragment from a different source.) Its members become so powerful, so arrogant and invasive, that they are everywhere: from the Iranian Revolution to the Yom Kippur War, from the energy crises of the seventies to the new direction of communist China, so much so that even members of the other conservative Ur-Lodges begin to feel unbearable.

And they launch a counterattack. In absolute secrecy, they form a new super-lodge, the "White Eagle," which in just a few months, between 1979 and 1980, will manage to place one of its protégés at the highest level of the White House, the para-Mason Ronald Reagan, and a sister of the "Edmund Burke" Lodge at 10 Downing Street, the Freemason Margaret Thatcher. A woman? Yes, gentlemen: a woman. In fact, later, in more detail, we will discuss the role and presence of women in the Ur-Lodges. For now, let's just say that a fratricidal struggle begins between the brothers of the two super-lodges, with no holds barred. And so many blows, and so impressive, that they keep readers on the edge of their seats; as if the book they are about to read were a thriller. And indeed, in a way, Freemasons is a thriller

On March 30, 1981, in Washington, Ronald Reagan was wounded in an assassination attempt. We know he narrowly escaped death. We didn't know, however, how the members of the White Eagle viewed this assassination attempt: as an affront from their adversaries, an affront that could not go unpunished. The revenge, therefore, took place on May 13, 1981, at 5:17 p.m., in St. Peter's Square in Rome. This time, the blood of John Paul II was spilled, wounded by two shots fired by one Ali Ağca, "a professional terrorist, a man known to the secret services and police of half the world," who was recruited, according to Magaldi, thanks to the Russian intelligence services led by the brothers of the Joseph de Maistre lodge. To attempt to assassinate Wojtyła was to strike at the heart of his dear friend and personal ally Zbigniew Brzezinski, who, let us remember, was one of the founders of the "Three Eyes" and the Trilateral Commission, "considered responsible for the attack on the President of the United States."

And like Reagan, Wojtyła also survived. A tie at one. And Licio Gelli? The discovery of the "P2" lists in Villa Wanda—"revealed by some "little birds" (wearing aprons)" and framed within the context of the furious struggles between the two most powerful Ur-Lodges in the world—on March 17, 1981, marks the end of the Italian proconsul of the "Three Eyes" and his lodge. From that moment on, the "P2" members who were Gelli supporters were eliminated. Useless. Kissinger's plans for Italy, which relied on them, are also rendered useless. For Kissinger & brothers, this represents a serious setback. For Gelli, a disastrous fall. Under an arrest warrant, Gelli is now an unsavory character who will vainly seek help from across the ocean: the former Venerable will not find it even among the brothers who supported his rise and who later began to watch with displeasure as his prominence became excessively ambitious and unrestrained. And in July 1981, when that sort of armistice between the super-lodges was finally signed—an agreement that would go down in Freemasonry history as the United Freemasons for Globalization—it was the end for the "P2": for the "Italy" section, the definitive dismantling of the "Propaganda" lodge was established, and consequently, Licio Gelli and other "P2" Freemasons implicated in the scandal were abandoned to their fate. The United Freemasons also established Bettino Craxi's position in the Palazzo Chigi—affiliated with AMUN and the Green Fraternity, he would be the first socialist to be appointed Prime Minister of Italy—and the dismantling of the so-called Red Brigades, as well as other minor terrorist cells.
