Yesterday there was an interesting thread about how the work horse GPUs will be toast before AI can turn a profit… claimed even some of these orgs have GPUs listed as assets, which will be worthless and nonfunctional soon enough. Considering the product is oversold and not going to save anything, and the goods required to build models have a very limited shelf life, who thought this was a good idea?

Knowing full well the safety standards to their citizens and their environment, China should win the AI race. They'll destroy themselves to keep it running in time. Or they actually make it energy efficient, lmao.

Everyone is limited by one thing or another, and America simply has the international trade and protectionism advantage. It isn't going to change baring an absolutely bonkers black swan even in technology revolution that renders the waters irrelevant.
