I've been out of work for two months and just decided to go on welfare for the first time today (free health insurance. Maybe I'll try to get snap or whatever next).

I tried, Mike, I really did. I sold a lot of my shit to pay my bills without welfare during the two months and I even did the training for a certification too (paid out of pocket) to be qualified for more jobs, and I still haven't got any callbacks after hundreds of applications.

I highly doubt anyone is putting me back to work when the U.S. cut a million jobs this year. I hate this economy. It's nothing but games.

Why the fuck should I do anything the right way if it doesn't pay off? Maybe I should run a crypto pump and dump or any of the other myriad methods of scamming people if I won't be able to pay bills and continue living otherwise

the specifics are left up to the states, some require you to work or be looking for work. Medicaid is just a lower-cost health insurance. its not like you get a check or anything, in fact you have to pay money to be a part of it.

The fact that you guys STILL don't have universal healthcare and have to grovel to get any kind of medical care is ridiculous. Every other developed OECD country provides universal healthcare to all citizens, no strings attached
