In the greater scheme, Russia already won because there was only one instance where Ukrainians fought freely (without NAFO interference) and they had success - freeing the East. Credit to them for taking back Kherson city but it came at great expense of manpower that should've been avoided.
Overall, it would be idiotic to raise a huge army and send it there when you can keep the army in safe territory to be properly trained and to do with one guy what Ukrainians fail with 10 because they send untrained people to the front.
