Fun fact: 8% of Greek men are named after a 4th century Turkish Nazi

Saint John Chrysostom (Iohannis Chrysostomos) 347-407, was born in Antakya, Türkiye. He is most famous for making the liturgy that is used 90% of the time by Orthodox Christians (other 10% is from St. Gregory the Dialogist), but he also wrote an extremely antisemitic book called Adversos Judaeos where he wrote:

""The synagogue is worse than a brothel... it is a den of scoundrels and the repair of wild beasts... a temple of demons devoted to idolatrous cults... a criminal assembly of Jews, a place of meeting for the assassins of Christ, a house of ill fame, a dwelling of iniquity, the refuge of devils, a gulf and abyss of perdition."

And...

"Although such beasts are unfit for work, they are fit for killing... And this is what happened to the Jews: while they were making themselves unfit for work, they grew fit for slaughter"

>born in Antakya, Türkiye
there was no "Turkiye" back then. Turks were still sucking off horses in Mongolian yurts at the time.
