A global plea is growing for Elon Musk to rescue three Chinese astronauts stranded in space after their return capsule was reportedly struck by an 'unknown object.'

The Shenzhou-20 team, mission commander Senior Colonel Chen Dong and crew members Colonel Chen Zhongrui and Colonel Wang Jie, launched to China's Tiangong space station in April and were set to return home on November 5.

But officials revealed this week that their spacecraft may have sustained damage while docked in orbit for the past six months.

Chinese officials are unsure what struck the spacecraft, but the damage is believed to have been caused by space debris, which is basically junk floating around the Earth from older space missions and rocket launches.

they really want some spies to get inside information on the spaceX capsule.
The best possible people to get this information on how everything works would be a crew that is already trained to do so, and the slant eyed spacers would have to be trained on what to do, and would also get more insight into the spaceX design, much of which is controlled information under ITAR.
They are just hoping that Musk or Trump's ego will get them basically free access to secret information, then they will copy it.

It's pretty good leverage if the US, Musk decides to play it correctly because they can say "We'll give you our technology to help save your space program, but in exchange you need to give us knowledge of microconductors, hypersonics, AI, whatever else China does better than the US these days, etc.

Of course, that would require Trump to get his head out of his ass and get back together with Elon, and in that case Elon would in turn have great leverage over Trump, as Elon is the one with the successful space program, not NASA.
