When ALL the major unions, ALL the major airlines show up for a press conference with Trump to demand the Dems stop holding the country hostage, even CNN has to admit this is a Dem shutdown.

> the shutdown is on the gop
so to be perfectly clear, you are saying that it is republicans that have voted against the spending bill and democrats are voting in favour of it?

yeah the "democrats" who have full control all the branches of government are keeping it shutdown.
Fucking republipussies don't want to take credit for people's healthcare tripling in cost even though they're the ones who want that to happen.

All republicans are voting to open the government.

This is literally the smartest, and most evil, move the dems have ever done. They are crippling the economy and social unrest at unprecedented rate, and yet every single normie is blaming the republicans for it.

They want the niggers to begin burning things again so they can blame Trump and sweep the midterms. It'll work

This shutdown is literally due to healthcare gibs that even the democrats said they'd sunset, but they don't want to sunset it during Trump's administration.

I want this shutdown to last until January 15th, because that's when ACA enrollment ends. The reason for this shutdown forcibly ends.

A super majority of at least 60% is needed, and the GOP only hold 53% in the Senate and ~50% in the House. How do people look at the votes of the past, failed attempts, see gop overwhelming voting to reopen the government, and still call this their shutdown?

Migamutts not knowing how their own political systems work is just hilarious.
the gop chooses to introduce the bill that they know requires bipartisan support without trying to compromise and that caused the shutdown
The party in power sets the legislative schedule and decides what bills get introduced. If the gop controls both chambers and the presidency, it’s up to them to propose a funding bill that can actually pass - not just one that satisfies their own caucus. the majority party is expected to govern effectively, which includes negotiating across the aisle when necessary. also, the damage is already done: voting to reopen is utterly meaningless because they know it includes demands that the democrats would reject. they're essentially just voting 'yes' on not making compromises.
its simple: the gop has the leverage to end the shutdown, therefore they are responsible

It is a continuing resolution from the Biden era. It is not a GOP bill. They didn't introduce it. It is a continuing resolution that both parties agreed to like 5 years in a row. The Democrats are causing the shutdown. Anything else is a lie.

The dispute is over the omitted policy provisions, not the continuation resolution itself. retard

Funny the government wasnt needed prior to the patriot act for flying. Maybe we can just go back to that. Personally I hope the government stays shut down forever.

>Ignores that leftists want shit, that no one else wants, and are willing to vote against reopening the government until they get it.
Amazing how that's a two-way street, fag.

again. the gop is the only party that is capable of introducing a bill. they choose to introduce a bill that requires bipartisan support without trying to get said support, thus the shutdown is entirely on them. they could have just not introduced the bill and thus the government wouldnt have shut down.
but I see that this simple concept is too difficult for you migamutts
