It's true. This video is about the studies and psychology of rich people.

It talks about studies that show generally people move to protect what they win, were born into, or have by justifying the fact that they have it. In the past we would have the noble lie, the understanding that the rich are just fundamentally better. Without that, we see even lefty Hollywood nepo types defend their success by not mentioning the obvious nepotism, just saying their success is purely the product of hard work. Psychologically, we are geared to find some way to provide a good sounding pitch to the question "why do you have so much" and pretend that what people have is a reflection of proven meritocracy.
What results is an insulated self serving culture that is insane and sociopathic. It's why there's no real honest conversation about the state of the world from the rich; that talk is actually suicidal. What seems like common sense, what is obviously making our lives worse, is protected by a system of people who need to play a cynical game, if not to protect their profits and profits for their families, but to protect your 401k if you're middle class.
