They lost over 10 million even before the war started, in 2014 they lost a lot of people in the civil war and just not wanting to be part of Ukraine, and in the actual war they lost a LOT of people. Overall it's way worse than even WW2. I really can't imagine how they are going to rebuild the country even if they win.

They had about 43 millions when the Soviet Union fell. They had about 38 millions when the CIA backed "color revolution" started in 2014. They currently have about 18 million "Ukrainians" still living in "the Ukraine".
Most estimates put about 7 millions in Russia and Belarus, and about 12 millions in Europe.
The ones in Russia/Belarus started leaving in 2014 when Asov started to genocide them (so they could steal all their land and stuff), and the ones in Europe started leaving in 2022 when Russia "invaded".
