How is UK going to ban 4chan without also blocking all other websites that use Cloudflare as collateral damage, they could at most block it at the DNS level but if a user sets his web browser to use encrypted DNS they can only see an encrypted connection towards a Cloudflare server but not what exact website is being accessed?

like I said they can only block unencrypted DNS requests but blocking it at the IP address levels will also block countless other websites that use Cloudflare as a colateral damage.

they use four techniques to block sites in the uk:

ip address bans
url bans
shallow packet inspection
deep packet inspection

they are used in isolation and hybrid forms. i highly doubt 4chin will be just a dns-level ban. they'll probably go balls out.

^^^ and of course, add dns to that list.

viet nam started doing that about a year ago with preddit. loads of faggots just started using 1.1.1.1 to circumvent the restriction. that protip spread all over viet social media.

since the uk isn't some third-world shithole with technically illiterate turds, i reckon the barrier will be substantially higher.
