Why at that point not just go get a real meal at like a mom or pop/ hole in the wall? Or some immigrant restaurant? Literally the same price as a McDonalds meal these days while being better quality ingredients, tastier and overall not as bad for you

The prices are most likely here to stay, for them to become affordable for poorfags wages have to increase. I'm not exactly thrilled about it either because I miss the dollar menu, for the same price of fast food I can just go to a regular mom and pop restaurant and get even more food for the same price now it use to be the cheapest option so now I just order ahead of time for mom and pop restaurants getting take out instead of McGoyslopin.

Bidenomics is not the reason prices are high. Prices are high because all prices for everything shifted during Covid for real and manufactured supply chain issues, and this increase in prices led to an inflationary environment. It’s partially true that companies saw that the public would accept the rape of their income and passively accept these new prices, but it’s also true that higher prices themselves greater an inflationary environment that was hard to backtrack even if they wanted to. There really is no going back at this point, and tariffs will only raise prices further and exacerbate the problem. While Jerome and his money printer are a problem, they are not THE problem. The static problem is Covid prices that outstayed their welcome and the new problem is tariffs. US can’t really devalue their currency since they are the reserve currency and benefit from an overvalued dollar to keep the bond market going, so it’s basically stuck like this. Basically, get used to it.

For me, it's the McChicken. The best fast food sandwich. I even ask for extra McChicken sauce packets and the staff is so friendly and more than willing to oblige.

One time I asked for McChicken sauce packets and they gave me three. I said, "Wow, three for free!" and the nice friendly McDonald's worker laughed and said, "I'm going to call you 3-for-free!".

Now the staff greets me with "hey it's 3-for-free!" and ALWAYS give me three packets. It's such a fun and cool atmosphere at my local McDonald's restaurant, I go there at least 3 times a week for lunch and a large iced coffee with milk instead of cream, 1-2 times for breakfast on the weekend, and maybe once for dinner when I'm in a rush but want a great meal that is affordable, fast, and can match my daily nutritional needs.

I even dip my fries in McChicken sauce, it's delicious! What a great restaurant.

Yes but we are still seeing the fallout of that bubble, and just because inflation lessens doesn’t mean that prices go down. If we get into a deflationary environment, those prices could go down, but a deflationary environment is bad for different reasons, and it’s especially intolerable for the US who imports a shitload of goods and has a lot of debt. We don’t really need to worry about this because tariffs are extremely inflationary, so I doubt deflation will be an issue anytime soon.

I don't think it ever gets undone. Best we can hope for is:
>slightly higher income relative to inflation, due to fewer illegals
>lower taxes due to less wasteful spending
And even that isn't guaranteed. Very little to be hopeful about. Now the goal is simply to have a lifestyle that costs less than you earn that you still find enjoyable. Just slowly grinding away and hoping you can retire some day

I do have to say, SNAPocalypse had an impact at the store today. I was able to get a full cart of groceries and it was only $150. Some things weren't on sale, like meat, parmesan cheese, soda, and nonfood goods. But a lot of stuff was dropped to prices I haven't seen or paid in a couple years. Soup 40% discounted. Noodles 20% discounted. Vegetables 20% discounted. Eggs were $2.30.

I'm not saying this would be permanent or wouldn't have long term consequences as it continued, but I definitely saved $40 on groceries today and felt like I wasn't getting by just because I live in an area where welfare has that much of an impact.

It makes me wonder how much the price of college tuition would drop if the government stopped that.
