Notice though how Dune is on that chart. The movie itself is meh, forced diversity shit that focuses on big name celebrity actors and CGI effects. But nonetheless Dune is still one of the finest pieces of science fiction in existence, and something America can be proud of to have produced. So why didn't it succeed in theaters? I've changed my mind about her. I still hate the way she speaks, which is absurd in 'The White Lotus'. That whole class of people who speak like that put me off, disgust me.
But since then I have seen a few of her movies, and now I respect her. Nothing to do with the genes ad. She's just a better than decent actress. She has vulnerability and takes risks in 'Americana' and in the movie about the Galapigos she did a great job of inhabiting a different character altogether.
