Physics research stalled because we pushed the limits of our knowledge down to smaller and smaller scales until we got so far that we're now butting up against some hard technological limits.

In order to research subatomic particles, you have to actually be able to do experiments on them. The smaller a particle is, the more energy you need to break it apart and see what's inside it, and the more sophisticated your equipment needs to be to measure the results. A little over a century ago you could do meaningful research with just an electron gun and a sheet of gold foil, now you need a 27km long particle collider that costs billions just to eke out a few more data points.

Yeah, the US did decide to dial back on theoretical research a few decades ago. You know who didn't? The Europeans. They actually went and built the the fuck-off big collider when the Americans wouldn't. You know what all those billions got them? A few Nobel prizes, but nothing of any practical value whatsoever. The Americans don't have any hidden theoretical research locked away; the kind of people who can do that kind of research are incredibly rare and part of a very small community, everyone would notice if large numbers of them were disappearing into government labs. The American government just took a look at the cost-benefit analysis and decided it wasn't worth it.

Progress in theoretical physics stalled because it's really hard do work out what the fuck is going on down in the subatomic world with the data we have, and we don't have the technology to do the experiments needed to give us more data.

Well, that and the traditional interpretation of Quantum Mechanics is completely wrong and has been leading researchers down dead ends for decades. But honestly I don't think even overcoming that would help.

Quantum mechanics was fleshed out in 2 years.
2 years...that might as well be lightspeed. They went from the Bohr Model, to the quantum model, in such a radically short timespan. How did they do it so fast?
Well imaginary numbers and imaginary functions were in vogue around that time among mathematicians. So using them in physics became super exciting and super popular. For this reason alone you should question the wave function's authenticity.

Quantum mechanics makes a ton of predictions which are directly measureable, and have been measured explicitly. But those measurements could also be explained by classical thinking. The wave function stuff is almost never examined. There are a few experiments that have purported to prove it, but if you look into those experiments you can often find issues with them.

Basically the predictions made by quantum mechanics, especially QFT, are insanely accurate. But the logic behind it is voodoo magic. Instead of using proper statistics like we do with thermodynamics, they use wave equations and the uncertainty principle and stuff. It makes the entire field byzantine and unintuitive to anyone attemtping to learn about it.

What I am sure about is that the traditional interpretation that subatomic particles are both a wave and a particle simultaneously is bullshit. For nearly a hundred years physicists have been teaching their students that when you get down to the quantum scale classical mechanics breaks down and everything becomes probabilistic, which is true as far as it goes but a lot of them have taken this to mean that it's an accurate representation of what's going on down there and not just a how the math works out.

All that stuff about Schrodingers cat and the multiverse is pure fantasy. Most people have forgotten that Schrodinger originally came up with his thought experiment to point out how fucking absurd the whole thing is. I don't think a lot of physicists even understand the logic behind the uncertainty principle, they just learn 'at quantum scales reality dissolves and everything is a probability function' at undergrad and run with it. The uncertainty principle only means you can't *measure* the quantum world accurately, it doesn't mean there are actually particles popping in and out of existence down there.

Anyway, there are physicists who have worked this out; they're considered fringe for now but they won't be one day. But they don't seem to be close to a Theory of Everything either. I have some more detailed thoughts about it myself, but I won't go into it now because 1) I'm tired and I'm not writing a whole fucking essay, in fact to be honest I'm not even sure I explained myself properly above, and 2) I see no reason why I'm any more likely to be correct than they are, I can't prove shit.

Yeah, that's another thing. The interpretation they came up with was done fairly quickly and a lot of the decisions they made were based on assumptions that turned out later to not be quite true. It didn't disprove their model but it did undermine their original logic for making certain choices in how to interpret the data.

That, and I think they were deliberately trying to make it as complicated and counter-intuitive as possible. They wanted to be the next Einstein. They wanted to blow people's minds. So instead of trying to explain things in a way that fit within classical mechanics they deliberately picked the most obtuse interpretations possible.

My brother is a physicist at the top of his field, he worked for Skunk Works for a number of years and now leads projects for a major defense contractor.

I remember asking him about this after seeing this screenshot the last time it popped up here. He basically laughed and said "that's not how it works."

There are vast amounts of physics hidden in black projects and classified materials, but they are not hidden because they've banned learning about them, they're hidden because the amount of money needed to run experiments of that magnitude is astronomical, and the types of questions they are trying to answer have such a minute use case that they are literally spending half a billion dollars just to find out how to deflect a specific radar signature 5% more or create a slightly more effective system of propulsion. The math involved is not some state secret, if they needed it for a non-classified project they would share notes, they simply don't need these tests for practically anything outside those specifc scenarios.

This doesn't mean they're using some advanced math to create ayylmao tech, that's dumb.

I can tell you what it is, but I have to warn you, it's a doozy.

Time is not a linear forward progression of events, one leading into the next. People tend to think of time like a string of dominoes, each event falling into the next. Recent studies into the nature of time have discovered some strange things, but among them the strangest is something called retro-causality, or reverse causality. What this means is an event in the future can have a ripple effect that causes events in the past. It's not exactly time travel but it's equally dangerous.

We may already be receiving such messages and living in a timeline that is being edited. This is obviously all very secret. The only way to avoid being harmed by the inner circle is to avoid publishing their names. As long as you're vague about it, what you write can't become part of posterity. The other reason they might not harm you is because your continued existence is helpful to their agenda somehow.

There's a saying: science advances one funeral at a time. The better explanation is they found some really spooky stuff and dreaded its misuse and or accidental harm. Look into modern power plants and pay special attention to methods with great yields. If you understand the scare around nuclear weapons you can start to understand the scare around energy weapons/new ways to produce lots of energy in small to massive spaces.
