That is only true if you are either above average intelligence or were raised outside the cult and allowed to develop a rational worldview untainted by Jewish fairy tales. If you're of normal intellect and were raised from birth never to question the veracity of the bronze age fables in Bible, it can be very hard to break the conditioning. Even for more intelligent people, it can still be hard to break the conditioning instilled from childhood because it simplifies everything and gives you a comforting position at the center of the universe that a lot of people don't want to give up even if they know it's probably not true.
I'm firmly convinced that anyone over 120 IQ that claims to be a Christian, Muslim, etc is simply lying to spare themselves existential horror, and that they actually know that there is no God.
