Alright /pol/, hear me out.
I’m thinking of starting something new. A platform, maybe a movement, maybe a political party. Call it “American Promise.” I want it to have the energy of a Mamdani campaign, but with the modern “America First” vibe. Basically:

>Culturally conservative / nationalist — proud of America, skeptical of woke nonsense, but not neocon hawkish.
>Economically liberal / social democrat — think Norway-style social safety nets, universal-ish healthcare, workers’ rights.
>Some libertarian flavor — personal freedoms where they make sense, tech optimism.
>Policy mashup: RFK Jr meets Teddy Roosevelt meets 2015 Trump meets 2015 Bernie meets Andrew Yang.

Goal: Conservative without being necon. Progressive without being woke. America-first, but also smartly investing in people and infrastructure.

I’ve got a comprehensive bullet-point manifesto ready (healthcare, education, infrastructure, democracy reforms, AI/tech governance, environment, family & culture). I want to spread the word, share my ideas, become a known
commentary/podcast figure, maybe even get grassroots momentum online before trying anything more formal.

Lol, no. My ideas under sex include things like decriminalizing and in some cases legalizing, regulating, and taxing sex work. Register sex workers, (including OF models) to the rigor of professional pornstars and high-tier escorts. I'm pro-porn, anti-OF, essentially. Raise the barrier to entry. Being a pornstar or sex worker is an identity, lifestyle, regulated and rare, not something for every college girl to make some extra money.

Also, gonna invest in "the perfect pill". Make the abortion debate moot. Invest in a flawless (or damn near perfect) birth control, side effects-free, male and female, where only if both partners come off it will there be a chance for a baby to be born. Eliminate all unwanted pregnancies altogether.

* Ban or regulate with clear labeling, public education, and phased implementation forever chemicals and unchecked corporate pollution

And I would add maintain alliances in NATO and supporting our European and Pacific allies. Keeping them afloat is the best deterrence to a major war. Russia would be in the baltics now if they weren't in NATO.

11) All of that sounds good although I don't want a federal curriculum. Leave it up to the school districts to decide what they want to teach.

1.) For marijuana, make it legal but tax the fuck out of it to discourage use, like what Finland does for booze.

2.) For required classes, journalism and media literacy should be electives, maybe expand foreign language classes (As gay as it sounds, the UN Languages of English, French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic and Chinese are prob the best 6 to learn). Also make a class teaching the basics of first aid and firearm safety.

3.) For your guaranteed jobs programs, something I've thought of is making a permanent government construction company, would pay alright, but nothing crazy to ensure that people always have an opportunity for a decent income.

4.) Deal with the debt. This is all lovely, but we should deal with the debt before it becomes too big of a problem.

I both agree and don't. I think we should be able to produce at minimum 75% of what we need so we could transition to self-sufficency in case we need it, like in a war or economic crisis.
