How does one 'comprehend' pain anyway? Pain's goal is to make you feel bad. The only defense against pain is to not let it manifest in the first place. Once you let it exist it's over, the pain has won, and it will then proceed to make you feel bad, and there will be nothing you can do about it. It feels the same every time, really bad, just as bad as the last time i felt it, the only difference being the location, duration and intensity. Once pain is done forcing itself upon you you can then try to recover whatever is left and piece it back together. It's the ultimate defeat.

I'm driving so I can't go into great detail but at one point right after this I ended up going to jail for violation of probation for some weed charge I caught before being completely clean.
