I grew up with a single mom in an apartment, and while being raised by a single parent isn't ideal I fail to see whats so incredibly important about muh stable marriage and muh house. As I got older, I very much appreciated my mom not shuffling us off to some rural house, as having more to do than stare at a conrfield all day is nice as a teenager.

Complete bollocks, 14 year olds are retarded by default, and doing the opposite of what your parents want at that age is simply a feature of coming of age and empancipating yourself as you grow into your own distinct person.

I often see this belief in "working hard" in people who suffer from parentification, that is having to fill in for their absent fathers for example at an age where they should have been children instead. Life isn#t a video game where you grind EXP for guaranteed level ups, taking it easy and not giving a fuck is often the far better route.
Therapy unironically helps with the right therapist, at its core they just help you to literally get over it and stop being hung up on the past. Because none of that shit has any bearing as to how you choose to live your grown up life.
