Why did congress choose to release the files in PDF format instead of EML format which would have been as easy as "right click --> save as"??? I will tell you why they made this decision.
EML is the format that Wikileaks the famous producer of the Podesta emails, the Clinton Emails, and the DNC leaked emails chose to use.
Why did Wikileaks choose to use this format? Because it is a cross platform format for email files and more importantly this format preserves DKIM in the original header of the email.
Emails have headers with DKIM Signatures signed each way on a chain multiple times over. It is hash of the domain key, and validates the content itself as authentic. All of the DNC leaks, HRC leaks, Podesta leaks all pass this signature check by the way.
Congress PURPOSELY CHOSE not to release the files in EML format because they don't want you to confirm the emails authenticity.
Why don't they want you to confirm the emails authenticity?
Because the emails are most likely forged and fake.
ANYONE CAN VERIFY THE AUTHENTICITY OF THE PODESTA EMAILS WITH THREE SIMPLE COMMANDS.
