What was the last all-time great promo? I'm struggling to think of any from the past decade.

It's not what I'd call all-time great but Enzo roasting the other cruiserweights was pretty memorable

Miz's promo on Bryan during Talking Smack probably saved his career.

I'd say 75/25 shoot to work. You could tell Miz was fighting with himself whether to really lay into Bryan or to keep it successful and Bryan was straight shooting being an unprofessional shitter and it blew up in his face..almost ten years later and Bryan is once again retired and this time under his own volition while Miz is still getting paid big money and is rarely ever injured if at all. Who won?

Smackdown 2016 was so good it had Vince boiling how it made raw look like shit, a shame how they decided to make smackdown just as shitty instead of making raw better.

Anyways, regarding the thread, can't remember when it happened but Henry's fake retirement deserves a mention.

MJF and CM Punk promo battle
"Wake up, Pillman" MJF promo
"Fight me at Full Gear" Eddie Kingston vs CM Punk promo battle
"Fire me, you fucking mark" MJF promo
Eddie Kingston first promo in AEW vs Cody
Cody Rhodes "Undesirable to undeniable"
Drew McIntyre "I prayed for this and it happened"
Jon Moxley "Fragile ego, fragile body, weak mind, weak spirit."

And that's a short list.

I heard Punk even ripped off "Fire me, you fucking mark" in WWE. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Literally. If Bryan and Rene had a 2 hr morning show with soft sweaters, cups of coffee, guests and insanity, I would have watched it every morning before heading out to class. I got to the point where I wasn't watching much wrestling but I wouldn't miss Talking Smack. The shitty thing was it showed what we all kind of knew, nothing was allowed to be enjoyable unless Vince and his inner circle was actively ignoring it. Bryan was literally trying to get fired most weeks but no one cared.

The point was literally iconic promos of the last decade. I couldn't think of anything iconic out of WWE between 2015-2019 that wasn't Enzo Amore and WWE has all but memory holed him. I can think of bits I've enjoyed but not Earth shattering promos until the AEW/HHH era.

It's alright.
Now for the real question. Would you consider Brock Lesnar's "I don't give a shit about your kids" as iconic? I was trying really hard to think of something from the Trump years that popped out at me.
