Intercontinental Title is the one that got renamed twice. The Continental Title was the reward for winning their G-1 Climax ripoff the Continental Classic (it was an excuse to have Eddie Kingston hold 3 belts to LARP as a Triple Crown champion.)

This is a spoiler though. Okada wins. Kenny has proven that he doesn't need a prop to get love from AEW fans. Okada doesn't work without a title though.

The International Title belt design is the one to go with. It's the best looking one. We don't need a new belt or new name for that Matter.
The International Title has a good booking past that built it strong for a few years having it defended internationally and held by top card starts putting on very high quality title defenses.
No need to trash all that like you're 2020 NJPW and hange it all up. For a less nice looking belt.

Yeah this unification thing won't last, and I bet it's just a vanity title. They've already done something similar twice, most notably with the Trios titles.

My guess is Okada wins at All In. He's already been Continental champion for 450 days. Then he loses the belt at the Continental Classic next year. Maybe to a returning Danielson or maybe Kyle Fletcher. He probably loses the International title in early 2026, and this vanity belt goes away.
