How the fuck are any young wrestlers in their prime supposed to actually make a splash when they have to spend 8 years in development hell carrying shitty 2nd and 3rd tier shows before they can hit the main event?

Most of these fuckers will be in their mid-30s by the time they get to Raw/smackdown and they'll ultimately become midcard jobbers because of how long it took for them to transition to where the mainstream wrestling fan watches.

None of what you said makes sense. If they weren't on Evolve they'd just be in the performance center, not on TV.

The people on Evolve are super green and years away from big TV wrestling anyway. The only difference is people can actually see them beforehand instead of it being in florida gyms and house show reports like before

Evolve and NXT are on TV for rating and adshare, which means they have to entertaining and profitable.
This is a problem as talent that is way beyond ready for the main roster like Trick and Oba can't leave until they train up someone else to carry these 2nd rate brands as headliners to keep eyes on the show.

90% of NXT is fucking trash and its been over a year of it being the "Oba and Trick" show with nobody standing out except for poached talent like Hendry, Grace, and Ethan Page.

NXT is an acting school now.
Evolve is where they learn the moves.
The psychology is all worked out for them by the agents. They don't have to learn shit, just the lines for the next cinematic experience.
It's not pro wrestling anymore. People who were hoping the WWE would ditch the sports entertainment part after Vince was forced out were mistaken.

In the 90s half the roster was in their mid-20s to early 30s and rocking it as the best of the best. Nowadays talent leaves NXT near 40 like Drew McIntyre, Alestier Black, Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Karrion Kross. And only 1 of them is even in the main event scene 7 years later.

Blame Vince. That's what happens when you monopolize the wrestling business and kill your talent pipeline.
Imagine you have a Brock Lesnar-type freak athlete out of college or a coke addict bodybuilder with insane charisma. There's no incentive or clear path for them to go into wrestling and learn because its dead.

Here I'll answer as the WWE target audience. All four of those people bore me. They look, act and wrestle like charisma vacuums. When they're in matches, I go play a game with the commentary in the background. I'll watch a match with one of them if there's a super cool opponent they have, but that's rare and when I do I'm not impressed. Their ring work feels so difficult to justify even in kayfabe that I lose interest.
