This is the only one that I think has some truth to it, mainly due that shitty home grill that he did infomercials for years after Foreman's grill became mega-popular
I can see Hogan still seething that he didn't get that opportunity when it came so close to him, so he jumped at another home grill opportunity out of pure desperation
What I don't believe is the excuse he gave for not getting the deal. Over one missed phone call? kek

We need a year for when he made that statement
Depending on the year, it COULD be technically true
I haven't had an actual television since like 2010, but I've streamed a lot of TV series on my laptop (wrestling included)

People don't seem to understand that is the litany and breadth and insanity of Hogan's many lies are the reason he is largely hated today. People wanna narrow it down to 1 easy answer like his politics/marketing etc but the largely the reason is that he's just such a bullshitter. That people became exhausted of him. It morphed into go away heat.

I really think his lies are at the bottom of the list for why he's so hated now
If I had to put in order the reasons why so many turned on Hogan in recent years, number one being the biggest reason, the list would be:
1. being open with his MAGA/Republican beliefs, in an era where being MAGA = le evil Nazi. This to me was Hogan's biggest mistake, he should have kept his political beliefs private if he wanted any reasonable chance of rebuilding his image after his leaked tape scandal
2. leaked audio of him saying the word in private, which is an unforgivable crime in this era
3. just general asshole shit that he said and did over the years, e.g. saying "God laid down some heavy shit on him" about the guy who got killed from his son's shitty driving, and saying be careful not to get caught while apologizing to wrestlers about the leaked audio
4. years of big-leaguing other wrestlers and holding them down, also being openly disliked as a shoot by many of the biggest names in wrestling
5. being a bullshitter/lying-ass motherfucker. If all of the other above reasons weren't true and Hogan's only issue was his lies, I think most people would excuse it since he's still a wrestling GOAT. Unfortunately he has many more strikes against him besides that

Point 1 & 2 are the only things that even remotely matter about public opinion and the gamer word stuff was years ago and blew over. It’s just that he did the RNC with Trump. Some faggot will inevitably say
>but akshully Drumpf did Undertakers podcast and he doesn’t get the same heat
No one watches or listens to Taker’s YouTube channel or whatever the fuck it was. Everyone in the western world saw Hogan bring out Trump, it was the number 1 news item for an entire week of the cycle. No one gives a fuck that Hulk is a pathological liar. Anyone that knows that finds it almost charming at this point or funny at the least. It is fucking funny that the guy claimed to wrestle 400 days in a year because he crossed the international date line and crossed over into the speed force and found 10 extra weeks in a year. They’re booing him in California because of Trump.
