He tells these lies to normies afaik, not people who actually watch wrestling. He was trained to work people, and normies are the market he was pointed at.

He's been in the business so long, day in day out, it blurred the lines between work and a shoot. The same thing's happening to Cody. He doesn't know what the fuck is real anymore.

My favorite Hulk Hogan lie was that time when he said he wasn't responsible for 9/11, when he absolutely was.

>Why does Hogan love lying so much?
His very name is a lie. He's actually Italian, but someone told him early on in his career that Vince McMahon has a hard-on for Irish people, so he adopted the Irish surname of Hogan to get on McMahon's good side. This counts as a lie, but it was probably the best career decision he ever made.

Another lie I recall offhand is some point after his NWO heel turn in the 90s he said he was going to run for president in 2000. Obviously that never happened.

The Hulk part is just as funny. Even though Hogan and WWE downplay the Marvel shit there is video of Fink introducing him as “The Incredible Hulk”. Not even Incredible Hulk Hogan, just Incredible Hulk. Thats why they were cutting Marvel checks for decades. Marvel waited until after Wrestlemania when Hulkamania was at its highest point and sued the fuck out of them. Vince and Hogan settled and Hogan got it worse than Vince actually. They got 1 percent of literally everything imaginable, tickets, toys, merch and then 10 percent of anything Hogan made as Hulk Hogan. Everything else had to be negotiated case by case because Marvel owned the rights. Thats why he was probably thrilled to change to Hollywood eventually.
