This is the destination for all based webms, brother
On tonight's docket: Hard-hitting action from the final days of AJPW's Champion Carnival, GLEAT, and more!
Big dropkick for a big guy.
>>17992176 (OP)>GLEATIs gigadraw Nakajima still leading puro to new heights over there
CAPITAL EVERY LETTER SENTON
>>17992625You could say that. He recently won their equivalent of NJC and is challenging for the title soon, and with how he's been booked I imagine he's winning it. It's weird because he's wrestling mostly the same, I'm not sure if it's the cheaper production or what. It genuinely feels like some of the "aura" is gone.
Really stupid spot, but the connection on it's good.
Kikuta has some insane chops on him. Seriously some of the loudest I've heard in a good while.
>BASED webms?!?
>on my console warring, samefagging, stale joke board?!?
>BLECH
>>17993403Sending Hokuto to do gay shit @ you, Hondaposter.
Damn. no wnder Japanese wrestling is in the dumps. ice fucking cold territory
Where the FUCK did Ayabe's elbows come from? Granted I'm not that familiar with him, but I saw nothing like this before this CC.
I love this, especially that suplex. So good.
God DAMN. Anzai makes this look so good.
>>17993848I like that sequence.
>>17994009if they can get Ayabe as jacked as Vecchio is they'd really have a monster on their hands
>ok here how match go. first we trade 8 shoot headbutts and then i hit u with a facelockThese guys are so many years ahead of the game.
>>17994763Yeah, same. The Gimlet's really cool for counters since the setup is so unique.
Fucking brutal. Kento makes this look so good.
Suzuki's up there for me on the list of brawlers. I think part of it is his willingness to just potato niggas, but he's so good at making everything seem fittingly messy.
And I absolutely don't think either of these had a gameplan past "we just beat the shit out of each other" and it rocks.
And the perfect way to believably knock Suzuki out out the tournament and give Rei a light match before the finals. Real good all around.
Kek what a kind guy who would never deceive you
Jesus Christ that's a jump and a half for a guy his size.
This spot's awesome, especially because I think there's a genuine chance Aigle Blanc is hurt here and this was improvized because he couldn't do his planned dive.
I looked it up because I was surprised by these guys' chemistry and they have some history tagging together. If I can track down their match vs. The Astronauts I wanna watch that. Same for the Abe vs. Nomura match from WXW this year.
This spot's always stupid, so that's nothing new, but I don't think I've seen anyone spike their opponent like this.
>>17993129I wish Dragongate would bring back King of Chop
>>17997253I'm not as familiar with DG as I would like to be but I highly doubt anyone would beat Kikuta, his chops are nuts.
>>17997258some King of Chop stuff
>King of Chop was a singles tournament held in Dragon Gate. This was a little different as it is not so much a wrestling tournament, but rather a tournament to determine who had the strongest chop. >The competitors would each exchange three chops. The primary goal was to chop the opponent so hard that they surrendered, generally by ringing the bell personally. If no one gave up, the decision would then be deferred to the fans. Under the circumstance that the fan decision was considered a split, the competitors would each be given an extra chop. The bonus exchanges would continue until one surrendered or the fan decision was more decisive. Very fun non-wrestling match stuff
>>17997289This shit is based as hell. I think Onitsuka from GLEAT would have a good shot, his chops sound like murder too. The rare killer overhand chopper.
God DAMN this is nasty. Feels like "the ring shifted a full half foot" but real.
Rei's great as the bully.
Webm bro bringing the dimes again..Thanks!!
That's all for me for today! Tomorrow I'll have highlights from GLEAT and hopefully some Dragon Gate if I can find the time for it. I hope we stay up! Thank you all for spending some time in my thread. I'll see you then. Goodnight, bros.
>>17997475I'm glad you're enjoying the thread, anon! Happy to have you here. Hopefully you and the other EUbros can keep us bumped for a little while!
>>17997629thanks as always webmCHAD
>>17998756He just looks gay now
Here, have a Trek /webm/ bump from the boys over at /trek/ on /tv/!
>>17999460Am I a fucking mark for thinking this wasn't Nakajima's fault? People complained about him no-selling and stiff strikes but that's just how he wrestles. He didn't treat Endo any different than he would anyone on the NOAH roster. Yeah he obviously has ego issues but I think this is just a case of Endo getting kwabbed due to unfortunate circumstances far more than Finnaman going out of his way to big league him
I'm back! Thank you all for keeping us bumped. Like promised, I'm starting off with GLEAT's Cima Is Back in the Kobe event, and then moving onto GLEAT Ver. 17 before closing out with some Dragon Gate.
Pulling this off at 58 is crazy impressive.
Made lil bro hit a ghost swanton bomb
One hell of a chop, but goddamn this kick.
If you'd told me at the peak of T-Hawk's G-Rex reign that a 2023 debutant would beat T-Hawk to get to the finals of GLEAT's NJC equivalent with zero bullshit in under 3 and a half minutes I probably would've laughed. I'm not sure if adding that said 2023 debutant would lose to Nakajima in the finals would've made it more or less absurd.
I love this sell. Cartoony in the best way.
This entrance took a full 10 minutes. Because of shit like this.
>>18001796more guys should do that kick/catch/powerbomb spot, it's pretty sweet
>>18001877That's my Ikemen, baby. Love when he stalls. Ya just gotta.
>>18001886Yeah, it rocks. I like single-shoulder powerbombs in general, but this one works extra well because Lindaman's a 5'2 muscle mountain.
>>18001910It's such a genuinely hilarious gimmick. My favorite thing is when he exits before entering the ring and gets a huge ENCORE chant.
You can see his face light up when he spots his victim. Pure evil.
I don't even understand how many miscommunications you need to make for something like this to happen. Christ. Just lucky nobody got hurt worse than they did, JD could still finish the match.
>>18001877I love that bit but on AJPWtv when they mute the audio while he does it it's fucking torture.
OW.
>>18002177Kek, that sounds fucking horrible. I thought I had it bad grieving over the lost Dream Warriors entrances during the Champion Carnival.
Not the best this spot has even looked, but I love how Aitaka throws these lariats. Just giving 120%, he almost falls over.
Aitaka's kinda started figuring this spot out. Looks miles better now than I'd ever seen it done pre-2024 when Go was using it.
L + ratio + nozan raito bommu
This match was so much fun to watch because of shit like this. Onitsuka's so fired up and just GOES FOR IT. He's great, I'd love to have him in a BOSJ someday.
The first couple of times I watched this I thought it was just a really good sell, but no, that's right in the balls. Ouch.
>>18002669legs to the side dives > flippy dives
>still clutching his balls>>18002816I think for me the general rule is "uncoordinated, puts-the-suicide-in-suicide-dive dives > athletic looking dives." Hansen stands out the most, but it goes for anyone who makes the dive look more like they're throwing all their body weight off the ring and less like they're doing a calculated move.
Another classic just-go-for-it moment from Onitsuka.
God this combo is so fucking yen.
I really liked the finishing sequence to this match. Feels like Lindaman could've won at any point, but his entire's leg is completely ruined from the G-Class tournament and he just cannot keep up with Ishida who didn't compete and is coming in fresh.
Next up are some highlights from Dragon Gate Dead or Alive!
Fucking love this suplex. Looks impossible to kick out of using just force.
>>18004019they must have such high hopes for Homare, can't believe he's only 20 and debuted in September
Cinema.
>>18004022Yeah, that surprised the hell out of me when I heard it. It feels like DG leans younger than the other promotions to an extent but being a champ at 20 is crazy.
This spot's extra crazy because Dia is shoot hurt and his bros are basically just lifting him out of the cage. With friends like these, who needs two arms?
>>18004487it was great selling, people thought he was going to miss BOSJ
>wrestles the next day>becomes best performing DG wrestler at BOSJ
>>18004812Holy shit, was that actually during the BOSJ? I thought for sure this happened right after the finals. That's crazy, I guess I was just worked by him not being on the DG show the following week. Color me worked!
>With friends like these
So much for that. I really love the way Dia acts here, he looks genuinely pissed the fuck off but completely powerless and Shun just hauls him off like nothing.
That's all for me for today! Thank you all for hanging out. Next week you can expect more good stuff from this little foray into Dragon Gate I've been entertaining myself with as well as highlights from Dominion. And as always with Dominion week, that makes yet another anniversary for the Weekend Webm Threads. Four years and still running! Thanks once again for spending some time in my threads. I'll see you all next week. Goodnight, bros.
