It's almost like they base what they do off of the reaction they get from the crowd. Crazy stuff

Nah, cena ran them off.
What innovations can be made? Boxing is still pretty much the same boxing. Jabs, crosses, straights, hooks, uppercut, and combos. Wrestling, ameture, is still fundamentally the same as ancient greece.
Innovations in judo made techniques stricken cuz it didnt fit into Olympic sport rules and, like tkd, ruined the art
Bjj is only innovative in recording niche ways ti get to the same 3 submissions, choke, crank, or hyperextension.
What innovation do you want to see? Yeet isn't that different from woo

It’s wild how stupid modern American wrestlers are. Dragon Gate “works” because they all trained together and constantly work with each other. You work at best twice a month with rando greenies, you’re not going to have a fast pace match that requires high levels of coordination and intuition.
That said even dragon gate understands the limitation of that styles. Guys lean very heavily into their characters and important matches where people actually give a shit about are worked much slower and have a more traditional structure. They also yell during their dives to signal to each other to get in position to prevent the whole clearly waiting to be dived on thing you see all the time. I don’t understand why this hasn’t been adopted everywhere.

The attitude era ran them off. You really think grown pussy getting adults we’re gonna keep watching the “old lady gets fucked and gives birth to a hand” show? The “fed a man his own dog” show?

Yeah, when they grew fans and people wore wrestling merchandise in public was a killer. That's so different from the 6 million viewers, far less than the total number of people watching wrestling in general that were still watching nitro in its final days. And what did cena do? Eroded that by half. And then the blue print he gave them to follow eroded it by another half
There was a lot of shit in the attitude era, but its a retarded take to pretend that ran people off. People are too embarrassed to wear wrestling shirts in public now. Let that be a measure of quality

Wwe shows dont count as public
For posterity, where are you?
Tit for tat, cuz I won't ask something im not willing to do myself, im just north of boston and see almost no wrestling shirts at all. Last time I did was mothers day when someone took their mom out and wore a Bret hart shirt cuz it was a special occasion. Once I saw someone in a hurt business shirt just after covid. And maayyyyybe 2 hulk hogan shirts in-between in the span of 5 years

When I was 12, kids would always be wearing wrestling shirts. My son is almost that age....I have not seen any of his friends wearing a wrestling shirt or even watch wrestling, or talk about it. I saw a stat that 25 years ago, the average wrestling fans age was 26 or around that. Now it's 52. It's just same people still watching, but they aren't gaining new fans.

that stat only applies to cable tv, which younger people simply don't have or use. you look at a wwe crowd and a lot of it is kids with their parents, zoomers and zoomettes with your occasional classic white neckbeard or fat spic smark. wwe is really big on tiktok fsr, mostly rhea and livdom and jey though.

There has been a natural cycle of people moving away from WWE to these smaller feds only to see the reality that all wrestling is overly formulaic. The initial high wears off and then they do something else. Problem is as WWE has less and less fans to pass off wrestling as a whole will die. Fraid so.

It's more so that when you interact with people on real life and not through a screen only, you see them and notice they have clothes on, amd often will stick in your head, and also makes it easier to look for people by wardrobe than head
You know... IF you ever went outside
