First he got fat and lazy.
Then he got fat lazy, and stupid
Then he got his shit together for a bit, started to get back in shape
Then he got hokey but that's allowed and it was somewhat appropriate for his age
Then he teased retirement and it was so well received he didn't retire
Then he created the Jericho "rub", a rub so good it grinded every new talent he worked with in the ring down
Then he created the 'Jericho vortex' often synonymous with the Jericho "rub" but also included established talent he was working with and against for extended periods of time
Then he entered the post-modern gimmick shuffle Jericho era with Vortexes so big it included factions and ROH.
On the surface level it's even admirable in some ways. He's extending his career beyond expectations, doing everything to be a effective heel, but it's while he is deteriorating as a performer, hogging spotlight and working other talent down the ladder. It generates the go-away heat more than anything when his skills and talents are applied in the wrong place, as a active wrestler instead of a effective manager - but he doesn't seem to understand that his time as a main character of his factions is over even if he has the biggest name recognition.
Seeing that for more than a year became too tiresome to care about
