Professional wrestling died when every American company made their wrestlers start talking about how much they dreamed about being and whatever company it is.
They should be there for the money or the glory or the fame or because they’re so goddamn good of course they’re there or because this stupid company finally got his head out of its ass and brought in the hottest free agent or any other number of reasons, Babyface reasons, heel reasons whatever. But goddamnit stop fucking being there because you’ve dreamed about it since you were a kid or whatever holy fucking shit.
>>18027099 No, you’re just fucking retarded and your mind is broken from hours on this website. This isn’t in either or both companies are fucking terrible at this. You’ve got one company where Tony is forcing people to say that he’s such an incredible boss and without naming names basically say that his place gives more free freedom that WWE and then you have WWE that is forcing people to be like I’ve dreamed of this my entire life. I can’t believe I even get to be here. Neither company understands what the fuck anybody should be doing when they arrive at a company. Don’t try and bring your fucking retardation into my fucking threads. Go somewhere the fuck else and talk to someone who gives a fuck. I hope your kids get AIDS.
>>18027091 (OP) >when every American company made their wrestlers start talking about how much they dreamed about As if you retards haven't been ragging on and on about that exact thing since the moment word came out she might be leaving AEW

>>18027091 (OP) tried to warn the fat smarks her promos were terrible but as always none of them wanted to listen
>>18027091 (OP) >When he was one and a half years old, his family moved to Port Tampa, Florida. As a boy, he was a pitcher in Little League Baseball. Hogan attended Robinson High School. He began watching professional wrestling at 16 years old. While in high school, he revered Dusty Rhodes, and he regularly attended cards at the Tampa Sportatorium. It was at one of those wrestling cards where he first noticed Superstar Billy Graham and began looking to him for inspiration; since he first saw Graham on TV, Hogan wanted to match his "inhuman" look.
The marks have ALWAYS been in the ring. It's nothing new.
Seems you know nothing about business or branding yourself. There's always competition to think about.
Toni and Mercedes both left WWE for AEW and were pushed as the top two stars. So if you're smart and care about your company's sustainability that would be mentioned going into the biggest match on the biggest show. They did that a few weeks ago
>>18027091 (OP) >made their wrestlers she was a model wwe worked with to promote their merch before she even started training. pretty sure it was legit a dream of hers since she was a kid
>>18027218 This. I've never understood the alternative. So wrestling should just be made up of a bunch of passionless, miserable fucks who hate it as much as retarded smarks and are out the first chance anything else comes along? It'd be a dead industry by now
>>18027115 >ony is forcing people to say that he’s such an incredible boss and without naming names basically say that his place gives more free freedom that WWE

>>18027514 Maybe just have a middle ground where you enjoy yourself without sucking the company's dick.
>>18027517 Every wrestling company ever has, is, and will promote themselves and call themselves the best and jerk themselves off to do so. It's called marketing. If AEW or TNA or anywhere else could get away with having people say it was their dream to be there without getting laughed at then they would. The difference is that's actually the truth for a lot of people in WWE. They'd be dumb not to use that as a means of promoting themselves. It's no different then AEW running with 'where the best wrestle' as their tagline since their biggest drawing point is their matches. It's all just promotion brother. Promoters are gonna promote. It's called a promo for a reason
>>18027547 Mariah had one big match in her AEW run. The rest was wrestling for a few hundred people in 2/3 empty arenas while having to react to a completely empty hard cam side.
>>18027542 Imagine if someone showed up on /pw/ like >OMG It's been my lifelong boyhood dream to shitpost on /pw/ yayyyy they would get laughed away in shame.
>>18027558 >Mercedes the biggest self mark and belt mark you're the actual mark lol just because she's playing a boss character you think she has an ego you probably think bayley is an actual role model

>>18027610 You say this as if that isn't exactly what Toni and Mercedes are still doing now. Except that'd be if Mercedes ever wrestled
>>18027702 Well yeah because /pw/ isn't a company or something with investers and advertisers and shareholders etc. I get that it sounds silly but it's going to be done. Especially in a case like Blake Monroe where it's actually the truth. Why shouldn't she be able to share that? There's a reason Mick Foley becoming WWF champion was such a big heartfelt moment. For every person who hates to hear it there are fans with that same dream who identify with it and are inspired by it
>>18027884 >Yeah that's what WWE did with shitter Reigns Roman held two belts. The Bloodline? Sure. At least you had multiple stories going on with the group though. Mercedes is about to hold every women's belt in AEW and god knows the other no-name indie ones she has. That's not at all 1:1
>>18027884 >(doubt) Valid to have because in the same show Jordynne Grace got a new one and it's god awful. Even Mariah's does have the needless voice clip intro but the actual song itself goes surprisingly hard

>>18027895 >Mercedes is about to hold every women's belt in AEW and god knows the other no-name indie ones she has. That's not at all 1:1 you're keeping up with her run now just imagine if she went back to wwe lol
>>18027902 >BOTH of them? Yes as in the only two that there are in AEW for women to compete over >Seems pretty 1:1 Except the IC, US, and tag titles all still very much existed. As well as the WHC. Keep trying though
>>18027091 (OP) Pro wrestling died when they stopped making characters and made everyone generic Firstname Lastname so they can kill kayfabe on social media.
>>18027933 Except I watch both WWE and AEW and I'm not a console warring retard edrone or aewtist which is how I'd know her booking to begin with. She's shit. Her booking is shit. And the division is quickly slipping into shit because of it. Got any others?
>>18027937 >So once AEW introduces Women's Tags Belts does it make her more or less Roman? More because then she'd only hold the singles titles and there'd actually be other stuff for the women to compete for. You say that though as if she and the puppet version of her aren't going to win those too
>>18027962 really good points to make. really bad person to make them with. almost half of her screen time since debuting in nxt has been vignettes and character work. the latter is where she thrived the most in aew too. she also kept up kayfabe on social media across the entirety of her aew run

>>18027985 Hardly. It wasn't great. Better than the Becky and Lyra shit but not by much. The console warring thing isn't going to land here. I'm not a fragile bitch who can't be critical of the wrestling I enjoy
>>18027218 Never said it in a TV promo. Never took pictures dressed up as his favorite wrestler if it wasn't his gimmick. Never was a mark for one company to the point where he wouldn't leave because of it.
>>18027091 (OP) I hate how everyone takes a picture with Uncle Paul now. It immediately kills their aura.
