I don't know, but he says "homes", not "people". If each home had an average of 2 people watching that would be 700k lviewers. If Nielsen was in charge of tracking Netflix, perhaps we would get numbers that were easier to compare to cable.

What if households only tend to watch the first (or last) half hour live, and what if some of them go back later and watch more, etc. Seems like lots of things that might effect Dave's math attempt.

Let's be honest here: watching Raw live is a terrible experience. There's a ton of padding between matches and a LOT of commercial interruptions. And it's 3 fucking hours long. This combo makes for the worst paced wrestling show in history. I say this as a wrestling fan for 40 years. And no, I'm not an AEW fan either.

I wasn't watching through cable or the network, and them going to Netflix definitely made it much more convenient and easy for me to watch the WWE main shows and PLEs.
Despite that I haven't started a Netflix subscription, not because of the WWE, but because Netflix is a shit service with a shit company behind it that's destroying the product that made itself popular (adfree convenience through streaming) as the penny-pinching spreadsheet marks continue to come up with new ways to rape you of your hard-earned money.
I said 9 years ago that the WWE should go on Netflix, and even back when the Netflix deal finally got announced, it was too late. The platform is too shit.

Having said that, a Netflix view is a single device viewing the show, because they have so fucking many tablet and phone users that they can do that without having to inflate the figure with an estimated amount of viewers per device.
