You know why Rey Mysterio calls his finishing movie the 6-1-9?

Because his character is that of the Mexican folklore hero Rey Mystery. He traveled up and down Texas freeing mainly Hispanic slaves from the evils of bondage. He wore a makeshift mask to protect himself and his family from retribution. Once word came to Texas on June 19th (Juneteenth) that slavery was abolished he conducted one final freedom operation before he was tragically killed by a slave owner unwilling to give up his slaves.

Rey Mystery and his efforts to free thousands are celebrated every year on this day. The 6/19 pays homage to this hero and his lasting impact.
