AJ Lee was jealous because she viewed herself as a real wrestler who happened to be a woman, but the Bellas leaned into their femininity and their bitchy personalities and all the drama and stuff and drew a big dimes with total divas. I think the "paved the way" talk is a bit hyperbolic, but the Bellas definitely were good for women being recognized in WWE. The best way to get Vince's attention is to draw dimes. And the Bellas did that.

April was an overrated shitter who was having 3 minute matches, just everybody else. The only reason she's put on a pedestal, is because she was the iwc's indie princess.
