>Moveset

Is there any other term that instantly tells you the person you're talking to has no idea about anything they're talking about when it comes to wrestling quite like this one?

Wrestlers have been using this term for a long time and have bitched about guys stealing their moves for longer. Study Have A Nice Day and get back to me.

Every fan seems to have a different definition for what work rate is so I’ll pick that

I'm still not sure what the term "moveset" is supposed to cover, specifically.
People use it to mean "a wrestler's finisher + any signature offensive spots that require the other person to bump"

I just use it to refer to the set of moves or common spots a wrestler does. And yes, some wrestlers do have shitty movesets.

The only reason nerds like you hate the term "moveset" is because Pepsi Man Phil wanted to take another unprompted shot at Hangman.

Bret Hart had a shitty moveset. The inverted atomic drop, russian legsweep and "ow my knees" middle rope elbow drop are some of the lamest moves of all time. He was still one of the best ever in the ring, who cares

No which is why it being something that makes Punk sperg out absolutely fucking hilarious. As if the industry didn't invent and perpetuate the term itself anyway. Fans didn't pull it out of their ass. WWE put it in their games

He did all those moves extremely well and believable which is what matters most. Go watch bret punch and kick vs wrestlers today and it’s embarrassing how bad things have gotten. A good move set is just moves you do well

True, it's not just about having a large moveset. Being able to deliver each one in a way that looks good is more important. Also Bret did have more than those moves when it came down to it, those were just the ones he did most often.

Referring to someone’s “technical” ability as plus, when what they really mean that the performer has chosen to do moves that we have fans have colloquially referred to as “technical wrestling” but ultimately has no bearing on the quality of their performances.

Saying aew offers many styles of wrestling and not just a “house style” of wwe. When in reality every aew match starts with guys charging in, an apron spot that leads to crowd or ringside brawling, spots that require obvious cooperation to set up, you hit me then wait there for me to hit you strike exchanges and then a sprint through finishing moves.

Not only an absolutely retarded statement but ironic because indie Punk is one of the best examples of an incredibly shitty moveset that is guaranteed to make match worse. There's a reason why they told him to completely drop his whole moveset and there's a reason why he complied like a little bitch.

Are signature spots that aren't offensive moves count as part of the moveset? Is getting tossed off the top rope part of Ric Flair's moveset?

not just wrestling related but about anything. Gets used by the fag fan community constantly though
>TOXIC
if you're not talking about nuclear waste or tainted water or something (or Thekla) kys or use a less fag tier of a word. In their definition it usually means being something other than a person who treads eggshells all day everyday on the off chance that you may slightly offend someone or you comment some women are attractive after they post pictures of themselves in bikini on social media.
