If ads on a ring is a "hellscape" then what was it when boys helping set up rings were being molested? Moron journalists ignore real problems like fentanyl and human trafficking but cry wolf over minor annoyances in a desperate effort to promote communism.

It's true, but he's saying it like a faggot. All the mergers and acquisitions in the business world have ultimate end, and it's the monopolization of industries by a handful of owners. Eventually, the populace will worship the longstanding top brands, which over decades become synonymous with that industry. Then, the top dogs will have such a stranglehold, that similar success by any outsider becomes almost impossible.

Late-stage capitalism has nothing to do with communism. You are thinking, "It's almost over so it means its bad and communism will win." It means a point in time where there are only monopolies left and these monopolies raise prices artificially and commoditize things that aren't usually commoditized like Slim Jim® tables. The only reason WWE doesn't have a total monopoly on wrestling is Tony Khan. WWE has had a total monopoly at different times and usually the product during those times was of lower quality (PG era).

The author is obviously not writing for wrestling fans.

That is not even close to being true. WWE was never a monopoly at any point in their history. Right now there is TNA, New Japan, tons of indie promotions, and wrestling from other countries that can easily be watched online.

Most of those companies or promotions could be swallowed whole by WWE on a whim except for pet projects like AEW or NWA.

They already practically own TNA and will likely buy them outright, just bought AAA, and are using WWE ID in the indies. Japan has protectionist policies that hinder WWE and AEW buying anything there. How did they get Giulia? They had to get Rossy to create Marigold as a feeder fed.

Now you can, yeah. Before streaming was a thing, the only alternative was some rinky dink jr league looking mudshow that no one watched or took seriously. Wrestlers who jumped ship to there would routinely have fans shocked cuz they didnt know they were still wrestling. Mayyyybe some areas would play cmll sometimes, but thise were niche heavily Mexican areas.
Until roh started getting popular and joined up with new japan and streaming took off, sure. But between when wcw died and when aew began, they had no actual competition. And fine, aew isn't touching them, but they still counter program as though they were competition.
They didnt do that for 20 years

There can be an in-between, anon happy medium of capitalism and socialism. Adds dont need to be EVERYWHERE. Working and getting money to buy what you want is good. Blond people getting seeing eye dogs for free is also good. And socialist. Could argue either way for public schools, but that would be a lot of people unable to work to be poor teachers for their kids

It's not a myth - as companies gain more money and a greater share of the market, they are able to leverage their position to lock out competition and increase the cost of entry into their markets.
It doesn't have to be proven because you can see it all around you. Calling it a leftist myth is a major right-wing cope.

It's exactly this.
We have public and private sectors of the economy. Ideally, they shift in accordance with society's needs.
An ideal society would have a left wing and a right wing that understand the need for one another and who work in a good faith manner to achieve their means understanding that victories on the other side aren't necessarily bad, just a reflection of society's needs at the time.
Sadly, here in the US, neither party understands that. But there was a time when they largely did and that was when America was most prosperous.

Yes it is. They did everything intentionally to make people want to watch it. It was their goal. Not their fault? Like theyre snitsky? They accidentally succeeded? It wasnt Vince being aggressive and shady?
Accessibility and looks matter to people. Its hiwbthey know its real and high end. If you don't look as good, you're not taken as being as good, and people dont want to waste their time on something inferior.
If youre only available on your own streaming platform, Twitter, or apps most people dont have, it becomes work to engage with the product, and people dont feel like putting in extra effort to hunt down a show when there's a better looking one that requires almost no effort what so ever. Its like if you live in boston, get Italian from the north end, or go to the burbs to get olive garden? If you live by the beach, will you hunt down a local community pool to go to instead? Dobyoubgrab the shirt from your drawer that has holes in it, or the one that looks decent on you? Street fighter or whatever shitty knock off yiu find at the retro shop?
That said, id choose troll 2 over almost any other movie to watch

They'd be big time if people wanted to watch them. TNA used to be on a major cable network, and they ran off a lot of their fans, which cost them their TV deal. None of that is WWE's fault. TNA's incompetent leadership is responsible for TNA's downfall, and now it's WWE helping to build it up a little bit.

The point is, you have all sorts of options for watching wrestling. WWE doesn't have a monopoly at all. It just feels that way because most people are only interested in WWE.

Netscape used to be the dominant browser.

"On September 22, 1997, Internet Explorer 4 was released. The release party in San Francisco featured a ten-foot-tall letter "e" logo. Netscape employees showing up to work the following morning found the logo on their front lawn, paired with greeting card signed "Best wishes, the IE team".[2] The Netscape employees promptly knocked it over and set a giant figure of their Mozilla dinosaur mascot atop it, holding a sign reading "Netscape 72, Microsoft 18", referencing the companies' market share."

During the United States Microsoft antitrust case in 1998, Intel vice president Steven McGeady testified that a senior executive at Microsoft told him in 1995 of his company's intention to "cut off Netscape's air supply",
